They are great chargers, while charging the 2nd page when you scroll down is the ohms page for each cell, you leave it for a few seconds and it gives the resistance for each cell, if one cell is higher than the rest then that cell is damaged. You didnt leave it long enough on that page to have it give a reading. Very handy tool for diagnostics of damaged cells.
Glad to see you built a power supply with an old laptop charger. I must say though they are not all the same. The my power supply is a 10amp power supply so I was lucky. I used an old Asus one. Still love that charger. Not sure if you were aware it can also charge without balance charging. Took me a while to figure that out. You can also calibrate them if you need too. I found mine was pretty good from the factory. I also picked up the USB dongle for software updates. Cheers from Canada
Right on man. 10 amp is the minimum needed. Can't believe how expensive power supplies are right now. More than chargers! Maybe we need to look outside the hobby.
@@RCReviewChannel actually 10amp is quite a bit. Unless you are charging a 10 000mah battery or charging a 5000mah at 2C. To be honest 10amp power supply is plenty for most. I found some cheap options on banggood. If you search power supply you an get some industrial ones (30amp) or so that are either 12v or 24v output. As i can't put any links here you will have to search yourself. Search for this in banggood (Switching Power Supply 110/220V To 24V 20A 480W For LED Strip Light) and you will find a 24v 24amp power supply. That should be sufficient for all your needs. Oh and it's only about 30$ USD...cheers
oh and unfortunately it will not discharge back into the pack more than 0.5 -0.7 amps the way you had it there. You would need to switch the batteries around and put a lipo checker on the one you are trying to discharge to avoid over discharging the battery more than 3.80amps or so. l. The way you had it discharging it will still use the diode inside to expend the power. If you took the pack you wanted to discharge you would need to put it on the left side and other on the charging end. The charger TookitRC M8 you had the other day would do it however the ISDT lacks this feature. I hope ISDT sees what others are doing and starts adding features like that.
I'm a newb. What tech does the toolkitrc have to do this that isdt does not? ... And thanks btw got the toolkitrc m8s ordered with a 24v 400w supply for 89 shipped from ready made rc. ☺
On this ISDT charger, Discharge does not recycle and put back the energy to the source battery. It only heats up an internal resistor like most charger. This $40 Hobbymate has the Recycle mode that you're looking for. It's an amazing little charger. ruclips.net/video/-JcDPKkaBz8/видео.html
Hold on, just any DC adapter? Seriously?? So, a 12v 1A AC/DC adapter is going to give you MAX power charging output? What is the EFFECTIVE DC INPUT values. (Volts & Amps) ? 12v @100A ? 12v 3A? or is it 24v @50A????? I believe this is an important FACT when reviewing a Charger, especially when were talking RC's.
12 volt, 10 amp is pretty good and can charge at 1c or 2c rate. For much faster charging times, a 30 amp or 50 amp is needed. These charges will accept a low power input but if you try to ask too much, it will give an error message saying "input too low".
Can you do a video on lipo charging? You really should demo the Hobbymate D6 Duo Pro for your audience. Please remind your audience to storage charge their lipos when they are done for the day and try avoid charging at 3C! Lol
@@RCReviewChannel im getting a Gen 8 Friday what is the best battery to get to supply enough power for a winch and the upgraded servo you put in your video. Also do you have a Facebook page?

I feel silly not realizing the balance port accepts all connections. I’ve been using the board this whole time. Thank you for review.
Right on. It is too stealthy. :)

Where are you getting this D6 elite name from. That is the Q6 pro.

Correct. thank you for the insight. That ToolkitRC aka Hobbymate is a powerhouse for $40 huh?

Can those connectors from Dean to xt60 be dangerous or catch on fire
Can i charge and test the resistance of 12v or 24v ups batteries ?
Not sure. This does have other modes of charging like NIMH and NICAD
Still like my venom pro duo for the money.
That is the standard.
When it goes into "discharge" mode, does it put the power back into the other battery?

Just flip the battery you want to discharge as power source and it will charge the one you use saving energy. But again you need to measure voltage.
