Would’ve been the clear number one if they didn’t over value big men so much back then. U see how Europe keeps going to 15 down low and he’s clearly the least gifted mechanically aside from his size. I understand it tho in a slow pace back and forth half court set game like that seeing a big man tap the ball in every play makes sense
John Paxson and Jeff Turner werent Superstars. Paxson got titles on Jordans coattails, turner was a harlem globetrotter who averaged 8.6 points a game in one season, rarely started. Please correct that so people don't make the assumption that those 2 were actually special in any way when it comes to the history of basketball.
You can tell no one on team usa can out rebound and muscle this tkachenko in the paint. The only thing they can do is fast breaks and fast breaks and make it 5 vs 4. In what is a fan to say tkachenko wouldn't adapt to the nba, you mean adapt to the rules or adapt to whatever the coach wants him to do for the team or his overall game to fit the style that you wanna see from him. This is why alot of basketball fans would make bad scouts and coaches in the league, they can't spot talent or how good someone is, there not playing with them or playing against them. The same people who say vladimir tkachenko wouldn't adapt to the nba, are literally the same people who boo sabonis at the draft or kristaps at the draft & called luka non athletic & are the same people that call all time great players who never played in the nba and whether that be from the olympics/fiba, international or even street ball courts & and1 mediocre. These people love the guys like lebron & kobe & allen & michael & wilt & shaq & hakeem & stephen & giannis & earvin so much, they refuse to look at talent from other places
Dražen Dalipagić the greatest...

Se podía haber hecho otro quinteto europeo: Kikanovic, Riva, Villalta, Jimenez y Meneghin
valters! delibašić! ćosić! solozabal! bonamico!
Y la selección de usa también
Tenéis las alineaciones?
Al principio del video
0:17 Europa
0:57 Estados Unidos
Toma ya!
Vladimir Tkachenko would NOT adapt to NBA basketball because he is too slow
Shack was fast😂
You could also say that about other players who were slow, but look at how good or decent their careers went also.
