A customer friend I know in England gets paid to captain these type of private yachts. He gets flown all over the world to sail them from one harbour to another for rich clients around exotic locations and earns loads plus tips for his services... What a job.
It may seem like a "cake job"... But the responsibility & logistics are a major pain & any screw-ups can be very costly & dangerous. The ocean & weather are quite unforgiving.

well the ship is 197 million dollars out right to buy. 1 week. for 36 guests. basically a private yacht. i know the yacht show drama, they pay around 30 thousand to have a private yacht for a week or so. if 36 guests paid 30 thousand each, the total would come to around 1.08 million dollars. I feel like that is more then enough to pay for 1 week of expenses.

The Fact that the bloke who owned it, the absolutely mind blowing enormous ridiculously big Yacht that seems absolutely outrageous that someone has that much wealth to own such a thing has sold it and built a bigger one because it wasn’t big enough for him. Absolutely mad.
You can hate on it but as someone who works in the industry I love it. These people are loaded either way and these megayachts while under construction directly employ thousands of people, probably tens of thousands in the entire supply chain. One of these boats can keep all of those people working as many hours as they can endure for several years. It's better they spend millions building stuff and keeping local industry and professionals employed than purchasing stupid paintings that my kid could have done.
I heard that Klevens, the shipbuilder, told Hart that they don't build one off's, he'd have to build 2, so he said yes and so 2 were built, the first used while it's sister was being built and then sold, the second to keep.
The deal with the company that built the hull was they would do it but he had to buy 2 hulls. He agreed and said then he would sell the first one when the second was completed and ready. And that's what he did. The second is around 10 meters longer than the first.

Amazing yacht. Unless your using your yacht a minimum of 3 months a year and making a profit from leasing it out, you should just book 1 when your wanting to vacation. The upkeep is far to expensive to make it a wise investment. I’m particularly fond of this ship. 💎
