well the ship is 197 million dollars out right to buy.
      1 week.
      for 36 guests.
      basically a private yacht.
i know the yacht show drama, they pay around 30 thousand to have a private yacht for a week or so.
if 36 guests paid 30 thousand each,
the total would come to around 1.08 million dollars.
I feel like that is more then enough to pay for 1 week of expenses.

    • @thermotesticles2453

a cruise ship accommodates about 3000 guests on average.
and the price that i bought tickets to a cruise ship was 758 dollars.
at the rate we can deduce that in a 4 day span, the cruise line business tends to rake in 2.274 million dollars per cruise per ship.
      talk about making bank.
for a ship like the oasis of the sea, by royal Caribbean, that thing cost 1.4 billion dollars to build.
though most they are crewed by over 8 thousand crew members.

Whadda boat! I have always thought expedition yachts to be much more practical and efficient than the typical super M/Y. They can go anywhere, are rugged, and can be as beautiful as any boat on the inside. And Ulysses is magnificently spacious and all top grade.

A New Zealands billionaire Graeme Hart..!!!..
has bought the CRN yacht Cloud 9 and named her Odyssey.
His 116 meter (380 ft) yacht Ulysses was in St John (US Virgin Islands) . . She was built by Kleven Yachts for Kiwi billionaire Graeme Hart. . . He actually built two yachts; this one and a 107 meter, now named Andromeda. . . He reportedly sold Andromeda to billionaire Yuri Milner. . . In September 2019 & several messages that Milner also bought the 116 meter Ulysses (!). . . Hart in the meantime has bought the CRN yacht Cloud 9 and named her Odyssey. . . And we were also told that Hart bought the CRN yacht J’Ade. (And she is now on transport to New Zealand). .

Its the sort of boat the bridge crew must love because the bridge is especially high (3 decks ?) unlike most purpose built luxury yachts where the higher decks are reserved for the owner etc

I think in the future we will see more and more yachts like this being produced by industrial shipyards and have more of an expedition/research feel to them.

Definitely more practical and useful. Luxury is boring. We get used to anything. But experiences and exploration....that is vastly different.

Amazing yacht. Unless your using your yacht a minimum of 3 months a year and making a profit from leasing it out, you should just book 1 when your wanting to vacation. The upkeep is far to expensive to make it a wise investment. I’m particularly fond of this ship. 💎

    owning such a beast... whoa
fuck normal yachts, i want an exploration vessel turned into a big yacht xD
so much potential, you can just do anything you want, go everywhere you want... 15k km range is amazing
i'd be a good owner, telling the crew once their job is done i want them to feel home too, enjoy the boat toys and features, talk and laugh with everyone onboard
if i'm happy i want other to be happy too... if i'm not, there's no reason for them being too!
but being broke at 41, i doubt i'll even ever own a 5 meter sailer...
