"Happiness by definition.... is circumstantial" I give you a car for free...YOU are happy. It keeps breaking down, you are late for work too often, you are fired, YOU are unhappy!....so being on this boat will likely make you happy. Money DOES buy happiness...but it won't buy JOY. well the ship is 197 million dollars out right to buy.
      1 week.
      for 36 guests.
      basically a private yacht.
i know the yacht show drama, they pay around 30 thousand to have a private yacht for a week or so.
if 36 guests paid 30 thousand each,
the total would come to around 1.08 million dollars.
I feel like that is more then enough to pay for 1 week of expenses.

a cruise ship accommodates about 3000 guests on average.
and the price that i bought tickets to a cruise ship was 758 dollars.
at the rate we can deduce that in a 4 day span, the cruise line business tends to rake in 2.274 million dollars per cruise per ship.
      talk about making bank.
for a ship like the oasis of the sea, by royal Caribbean, that thing cost 1.4 billion dollars to build.
though most they are crewed by over 8 thousand crew members.

These people are loaded either way and these megayachts while under construction directly employ thousands of people, probably tens of thousands in the entire supply chain. One of these boats can keep all of those people working as many hours as they can endure for several years. The deal with the company that built the hull was they would do it but he had to buy 2 hulls. He agreed and said then he would sell the first one when the second was completed and ready. And that's what he did. The second is around 10 meters longer than the first.

When tender is big as some people's yacht you know you are rich :D
Interesting to note is that this was build by commercial boat builders and was outfitted afterwards by another company as yacht. Owner actually had to buy two because of that. This one is the first one and almost like a test run for original owner, as he intended to make second one his after it was built.

Owner Kiwi - Graham Hart is among the world’s most private billionaires,& New Zealand's richest, he is not shy about spending lavishly and is a serial buyer of super-yachts, including the 116-metre (381-feet) Ulysses. Valued at about US$200 million, the vessel is spacious enough for a helipad and another smaller yacht on its front deck.
One of his previous yachts,& owned both @ once also named Ulysses/Andromeda, featured a decommissioned US Navy submarine lashed to the fore deck that provided an underwater getaway for as many as six people..

    owning such a beast... whoa
fuck normal yachts, i want an exploration vessel turned into a big yacht xD
so much potential, you can just do anything you want, go everywhere you want... 15k km range is amazing
i'd be a good owner, telling the crew once their job is done i want them to feel home too, enjoy the boat toys and features, talk and laugh with everyone onboard
if i'm happy i want other to be happy too... if i'm not, there's no reason for them being too!
but being broke at 41, i doubt i'll even ever own a 5 meter sailer...

Whadda boat! I have always thought expedition yachts to be much more practical and efficient than the typical super M/Y. They can go anywhere, are rugged, and can be as beautiful as any boat on the inside. And Ulysses is magnificently spacious and all top grade.

    U21
Teknicraft was commissioned by a New Zealand businessman to design a motor yacht capable of speeds up to 50 knots and with all the amenities required for deep sea fishing and luxury cruising.
This uniquely styled catamaran is fitted with waterjets driven by quad engines and is controlled by a single joystick for a fly-by-wire sensation. The main deck features a huge saloon area and galley, leading to an upstairs lounge and wheelhouse via a spiral staircase. There is also accommodation to sleep 7 guests in 5 private cabins.
The motor yacht has been constructed using latest technology in lightweight composite materials and is fitted with Teknicraft's unique adjustable hydrofoil system to optimise the vessels efficiency and speed.
