So, the guy wakes up, punches his way out of a ten-foot steel containment chamber, finds himself in the middle of a forest in the middle of a downpour, realizes that there are enemies closing in- and he just packs up and locks and loads. That's some balls.

I'd been searching for this game for years based on a fuzzy memory of this cut-scene. Didn't recall the name. Didn't recall the system. One day recently, Army Men: Green Rogue stares back at me from a shelf in the used games store, and I knew. Bought it without even checking. Glad to see the kid in me got it right.
It's funny how, judging by the equipment and soldiers, the game is stylized to fit the 60's, but this scene makes it seem like it takes place in possibly 2100

Grimm was, and it is outright stated that they had *repeatedly* gone over the risks. Assuming unethical also assumes that the Bravo Company Commandos were forced into being donors, whereas I think most of them might volunteer. Though another context consideration is that there's evidence that the Army Men don't reproduce like we do since a couple of the "Sarge's Heroes" 'verse games mention molds - it may be that the real experiment here wasn't the creation of the Omega Soldier per se but rather doing so with multiple living donors instead of raw materials...

Holy shit i haven't thought about that white hallway at the beginning for about 14 years but the second i saw it i remembered everything. This game was so fucking hard as a kid but i loved the challenge because most games i played then were boringly easy
2 things. 1) I just thought about them being Bravo team. Where's Alpha team? Have we been playing as this universe's B team? Where's the A team? 2) Did this game inspire X-Men Origins: Wolverine's Dead Pool?
I remember renting this and playing it alot the cut scene was epic but kinda creepy in certain parts the begging of it reminds of me armored core 2's human plus cutscene ..creepy
how do i beat the final boss? i have been trying for about 6 hours now and i am so pissed off with this game i just want to beat it. i have gotten it to fall down and it lays their for a while but it gets up and kills me.

Have to be honest, gameplay wise Armymen games were pretty terrible, but had some charm to them. By green rogue however it was as if they werent even trying, and sarge's war felt more designed out of the hate the creators ended up having for the franchise than an actual game
Least the first 3 and World War (PC ONLY) were actually kinda solid, the rest you can definitely tell there was some fatigue. Then this came and it was clear there was some hate in there, then Global Star and it somehow got WORSE.....

6:37 i think no one has point this one, but this is a homage to Arnie's "Commando" movie where he prepares his loadout for the war.
The long faced guy was General Tanenburg. He was also in command of the Tan army along with Plasto, and became the main leader after Plastro's death.
