The first-generation S660 was equipped with a 660cc turbocharged 3-cylinder engine that met Japan's light vehicle standards. However, the 2026 model is expected to have a more powerful engine.
1.0L turbo 3-cylinder (120-140 horsepower, 170Nm torque)
Based on the engines of the Honda City RS and Jazz RS.
Significantly more powerful than the first-generation 63 horsepower.
1.5L i-VTEC NA or Hybrid (150-170 horsepower, 200Nm torque)
Equipped with the engine of the Honda Civic.
The hybrid version achieves both fuel efficiency and acceleration performance.
Transmission: Two types are available: 6-speed MT (manual) and CVT (with paddle shift).
2. Suspension and Handling: Stable and Sporty
As a lightweight sports car, the S660 needs to provide excellent handling and ride comfort.
MacPherson struts at the front and double wishbones at the rear improve stability.
Equipped with an adaptive damper system, it has three selectable modes: Comfort, Sport, and Track.
Equipped with a limited slip differential (LSD) to improve traction performance when cornering.
Adopting 16-17 inch performance tires to improve grip.

The interior of the new S660 requires a modern and premium design.

5. Expected price
If the new S660 evolves into a sports car, competitive pricing will be important.
1.0L turbo (entry model): Approximately 3.5 to 4 million yen
1.5L i-VTEC / Hybrid (high performance model): Approximately 4.5 to 5 million yen
This price range allows it to compete with the Mazda MX-5 and Toyota GR86 while maintaining the lightweight sports appeal unique to the S660.
