I'm an 80's kid so Christopher Reeve is my childhood Superman. My heart was broken when he was tragically paralyzed in 1995. The reason we have superhero movies today is because of his iconic portrayal of the Man of Steel. I have my advanced tickets, can't wait for this!
🔴 RIP Robin Williams (July 21, 1951 - August 11, 2014), aged 63 RIP Christopher Reeve (September 25, 1952 - October 10, 2004), aged 52 RIP Dana Reeve (March 17, 1961 - March 6, 2006), aged 44 You will be remembered as legends
In his darkest moment, confined to a wheelchair he still embodied Superman. But a mention and a moment for his wife who showed incredible love, strength and loyalty. Take your time choosing who you will walk through life with, it matters.
You do realize physically disabled people don't like being referred to as confined to a wheelchair, right? Just because some can't walk doesn't mean they're completely immobile.
@@Marcydalmatian I do not generalize people, and I appreciate what you intone. I meant no offence, however, for an active man unable to move, in this case he was confined. Keep your virtue signaling to yourself.
On the big screen, he made us believe a man could fly. With that heart of his, he still made us believe he could still fly right out of that chair. THAT. That is what Superman is.
"Superman The Movie" was my Star Wars. I saw it in the theater twice, which may not sound like much, but it was unheard of in my family. We rarely went to the movies and to pay twice for the same movie was highly unusual. While other kids were going crazy over Star Wars, I was going crazy over Superman and Christopher Reeve. I collected the cards, fast food glasses, books, and magazines and I drew pictures of Christopher Reeve. I waited patiently for the tv broadcast and recorded it on VHS, watching the tape over and over until it was worn out. For my 50th birthday, my wife rented a theater and had them show Superman: The Movie. It still moves me and gives me chills to this day.

Christopher Reeve Superman is the most iconic superhero ever! Looking forward to the new Superman movie but am also looking forward to this documentary! Gonna be emotional!
His movie (maybe sounds corny) changed my entire life. Love ❤️ him as superman and any other actor would not bring this character to life. To be such a strong man afterwards just embodies what a real life hero is! God bless 🙌🏼 🙏🏼
3:39 Its funny that on the Fresh and Fit Podcast one girl asked the host Myron if he would expect his wife to stay with him if, basically, if he ended up like Christopher Reeve paralyzed and in a wheel chair and he said no because he would be useless to her as a husband. Thats sad because if you truly love your wife or husband as you should you will stick with them no matter what. Christophers wife never knew he would end up like that but because he was such a good person and a good person to her , the thought of leaving him or not wanting to take care of him after his accident never crossed her mind. Like she said she wasnt leaving him no matter what . Thats love
you boyys gotta check out *THE SUBSTANCE* 💋 If y’all into the likes body-horror or *HORROR* in general you can’t miss it, I think it'll explode when it comes out soon. 💀💉 💥
The No. 1 aspect any actor play Superman has to convey is Determination. Superman, especially first comes out, is he doesn't fully know his limitations. What he is about to attempt might kill him but he does it anyways b/c he is the only one who could possibly do it. Christopher Reeve also played the role that Superman could sometimes enjoy being Superman.
@@benj97s You mean Anti-REEVE? No, it's Anti-SUPERMAN. Hank-on-Crank's character is LITERALLY THE OPPOSITE of EVERYTHING that Superman is. He's a homicidal maniac, he doesn't care about humanity, he doesn't save anyone, he has zero empathy/compassion, he's arrogant/walks around with a stick up his ass, is a pessimistic ahole, and outright kills people REPEATEDLY. Plus he looks angry and constipated ALL THE TIME. Man o' Shit is straight trash, hence why it's gone. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Just like Wesley Snipes is Blade, Christopher Reeve is Superman.

It makes sense now why James Gunn is making the type of Superman movie he is making.
Agreed
Knowing how much of a Superman fan Nick cage is, seeing him, close to tears, applauding Chris hits hard.
My Superman 💜🎉😢

His wife was a real one, she believed in him and she loved him to the end.
I can't get through the trailer without getting emotional. There is only one Superman and it will always be Christopher Reeve. 😢

Trailer broke me fr 😭
James Gunn starting strong with his DC Studios
Now I kind of wish for a biopic drama film about Christopher called “Super/Man”

@TheApolloOrder I might have forgotten. What was the tribute?
how you guys not seen the sonic 3 trailer yet
ALSO WHERES THE SONIC 3 TRAILER REACTION
Henry Cavill was a good Superman in pure action. Christopher Reeve was Superman
the john williams music is perfect for superman. but it works just as good for an "ordinary" hero like christopher reeve too.
🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Please react to sonic movie 3 trailer
First
It literally says “The Christopher Reeve story” not “Reeves”. Jesus Christ.
