Not really sure if the Tridents actually really do anything to stop wild deflections. If they did then you'd see players using them. Gerwyn Price's and Jonny Clayton's darts are sold with the Trident points but neither of them actually use them in their match darts. Neither does any of the other Red Dragon or Winmau sponsored players. I have to say that I like the design though as they look pretty cool imo with the colours.
Well think about it for a second. If the lip on the dart bashes into a flight that's already in the board what's going to happen? It's going to lose speed and possibly fall out of the board or deflect off somewhere. Without the lip the darts are going to glide past one another. I suppose it depends on what angle your darts enter the board but since my darts go in dead straight I see a lot of benefits from tridents when it comes to reduced deflections. But also keep in mind, not all deflections are bad.
My comment is just because they are Pro Player darts does NOT mean they are good for every thrower. This is evident in the video where Worldwide had some unexpected angles and throws. This does not mean they are bad darts just not his personal style. That is why there are thousands of barrel styles available. They work for Gerwin Price which is great for Gerwin. Don’t judge them simply based on another players review. Try they for yourself and see if they are a match for you. If not simply move on to another style. Worldwide shoots every type of barrel imaginable so he is not biased one way or the other. He simply gives feedback on HIS results. Thanks as always for the review Worldwide! Keep on Shooting and making excellent videos!
Maybe they designed them witout having the trident points in mind and thats where the extra weight comes from? I always wondered why Gerwyn plays without them..yet I ask myself that with every pro player.
@@trillion400 You're right. But they should care about deflections, especially ones where the dart doesn't reach the board and therefore isn't counting. Plus it would be free advertising for the brands different special points.
Had these darts for a week now. Changed the flights on them and now I’m averaging 98.98! However, I noticed that the grip can fade away a bit if you grip the darts quite tightly
Got these darts today. I absolutely love them! The grip and weight suit me personally and they group just beautifully. I scored a 180 an hour or so after getting them so I can safely say I’ll be using them for a while. 😁❄️🎯 Great review as always. 👍 Greetings from Scotland. 🏴
Well certainly don't buy them in Canada. Get them directly from the Red Dragon site. Still $$$ though. One of the best dart players I know lives near you in Red Deer.

I wonder if there's a reason why Gerwyn uses aluminum shafts on his darts. Maybe the extra bit of weight from the aluminum helps them sit better in the board compared to the stock setup or your set up. Hes one of the few PDC players who uses aluminum shafts.
When you mentioned that it was the best invention in the last 10 years, I was wondering if you could make a video about the history of darts, a sort of 'evolution of darts' video. Would be interesting to see how it evolved with a timeline and such. Just an idea.
Worldwide; Great review and insight. I really liked the looks of these but was concerned that the grip might be too aggressive; you've helped alleviate that concern. I do wonder why it's so difficult to get a good set up to throw consistently; you normally have no issue with that. I might have to put these on my list to try. Thanks
Been looking at these for some time now... Still tempted... Don't seem to be getting on with my Peter Wright WC darts... Either that or some Gabriel Clements darts 👌🏻🎯🎯🎯 cracking 180 as well #Boom
Hey, first of all I just found your channel and love it! I already watching since some hours now haha. Thanks alot for the cheap alternatives video, helped me alot in saving money and testing some new darts :D I wanted to ask if you maybe know a cheap alternative for these Gerwyn price darts or some similar ones. Also you had the video with your top 5 darts and I think the first ones were chris thompson darts I think..... maybe they also got an alternative, because I can't find any of these here anymore. Sorry for so many questions. I wish you the best and go on with this great content! thank you
Thank you for the comment. I appreciate it. I'm not sure with the Price darts. I would have recommended the Price Lunar darts that were recently on sale but they sold out quick at $25. I've only seen 1 or 2 sets of the Thompson darts on eBay in the last couple years. A super hard dart to find mostly because not many people know what it is so they just list them as "Red Dragon darts".
@@WorldwideDarts Thanks for your answer! :D I saw the designa razor edge seven lock m2 24g and I think they are at least a bit similar to the GP darts :) They are a bit shorter but the closest I could find in my student budget :P have a great evening!
Going to try these myself when my local darts store gets them in. I don't think you were having an off day, just looks more like they are not suited to your throwing style. Look at Price's stance and throwing action, these darts are more suited to that straight on action
To be honest take a look at the PDC professionals. Most of them just use a basic dart. Straight barrel with multi rings. A bit boring but that's what works.
perhaps your grip on the dart was effecting the angle of entry, if you notice price throws his darts from the front and pointed down, so could be more of a front loaded dart?
Have a watch of the Lunar Gerwyn Price review. Imo a MUCH nicer dart. Quality is the same with both darts, top notch stuff but the Lunar edition ones were much easier to throw for me.
Oh snap I have those in 22 gram softtip which is actually around 20 gram barrels. I've never thrown them in softtip but I swear some of the best darts out also the lighter weight make them around 6.3 mm wide. I'd get the black if they had them in 22 softtip and I would use them for steeltip. Idk how your throwing with those huge flights. Cosmo W shaped flights do real well on them
I've never thrown mine they're still in the box kind of looks like I don't want to take them out and try it but a good review anyway thanks worldwide as always brother👍
Since the grip isn‘t that strong, i would love to test them out. But I wish there was a 20 or 21g version of those darts, because 24g are too heavy for me. Great video as always 👊🏻

dang, I thought the back would have much more of a grippy feeling to them. Nitro shafts generally make my darts sit at a downward angle. Surprised you had the same awkward angle issues with your personal setup. I guess these things were specifically made for the Iceman.
Yeah, still baffles me that I couldn't throw these things well no matter what I did. I doubt it was my form because I've been throwing pretty well recently.
if you dont like these i think you will struggle with the data darts spectral that i recommended a couple weeks back, theyre very similar but with alot more grip.
