I'm quite surprised you didn't mention the 75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer. The first set of the Starship collection that clearly is replacing the helmet collection.
Mos Eisley Cantina is also my number one, of course 👌 but I've put in second place the upcoming BrickHeadz set coming out in May, with all the Episode I characters, which I'm assuming will retire at the end of the year as well...🤓 I bet that that one will do even better than last year's Endor set 😁
How do you think the new buildable R2 will affect the 75308? I know it’s a much smaller price point so do you think more people will opt for that one or is that irrelevant ?
Hi Shane, I've been following you for 2 years and doing Lego investing, for now it's a hobby but I'd like to make it my profession in the future, I have about 350 sets, I wanted to ask you for a tip, maybe you could make a video on this topic. If I see that some of my sets, retired from December or July 2023, are going up in value, I could currently double the investment, what do I do? Should I sell or wait until November and December 2024? After this wait, the desire to sell is great and the doubling seems like a good result to me, but maybe in December I will triple, counting that I have 7/8 of each type of these sets, since following your advice I diversified to start.. ..however my favorite is the 75333 LEGO Star Wars Jedi Starfighter of Obi-Wan Kenobi, I like the Kamino character, the robot and the spaceship it seems to have good potential for any MOCs, here in Italy this one is being retired.. Even the Tie Bomber isn't bad though... bye, thanks and see you next time
06:39 the endor chase set has THREE unique minifigures not 2. The Scout Trooper and Luke and Leia all unique to this set only. Sure there’s only a little extra printing that makes the trooper unique compared to previous versions but still! 🤔🤷😂
If anyone's wondering, it's the Emperor's Throne Room Diorama. I think at least in Europe, the Dioramas aren't that popular.. From what I saw last year, nobody bought them, and then they were heavily discounted at the end of the year sales, so people bought them for the minis basically. The extra 'display value' is worthless over here, I believe..
@BrickBucks Still, it definitely affects the value when people can get a similar feeling at half the cost, and the size difference can even be a bonus since many of the ucs models are just huge. But hey, maybe that just means we'll have greater discounts on the older set..
what's your favorite Star Wars set retiring this year?
The 75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer

I agree 👍 If the starship collection goes on for a while, it could be a great investment 👌
How much do you usually buy of each set specifically the smaller microfigure or brickheads sets

High hopes for the Boba Fett microfighter
In Germany Lego Technic is superhyping..(old Sets and high prices) Star Wars is a little less than the last years..
You forgot the best Star Wars investment of 2024: 75352😉

R2d2 is already re-released 😂
not quite - less than half the piece count

@@Simebag also the rumored C-3PO coming later this year, the smaller size should scale well together to pair them up how they are meant to be
theres nothing valuable or exclusive in that micro fighter though
