Thank you for sharing this and I'm keeping an eye out for those tomatoes!😉🍅 I still have to make that mouthwatering lemon meringue pie cheesecake of yours for an upcoming family event but in the meantime I'll keep watching 👀 and learn. This reminds me of my Momma canning. I wish I had paid attention to her when she did all of that. I am sure your pickles are much better than store bought since store bought has preservatives in it. My Momma used to ask grocery stores if they had those 5 gallon buckets they were throwing away and they would give her some at no cost. She used them mostly for flower bed soil mix she had. Tell Clayton Happy Father's Day from me please. My Daddy's name was Clayton too.

      Hey Debbie. I will be sure and tell Clayton happy father’s day from you. My pickles are very good. They are much better than anything you buy the store. I would share with you if you were not so far away! I hope you have a great day and enjoy your sweet for babies. They are really pretty. I know they are a lot of company to you. Take care and I will talk with you again soon. ❤️

    Thank you for the video! My mom used to make these. I just picked up a 5 gallon bucket of cucumbers at the local farmers market.. How many times do you think I should multiply the recipe for that many cucumbers? I think you may have used 6X for yours, but not sure. Thank you!

    • @beebahscountrykitchen8683
      @beebahscountrykitchen8683  6 месяцев назад +1

      I can’t remember if I did five times or six times the amount. Try with five times and see if that’s enough to cover your cucumbers. If it’s not, it’s not a problem to mix up another batch and pour in on top of it. I hope you will be pleased with it. They are absolutely delicious and so super easy to do! Please let me know how they turn out for you. Thanks for watching!🥰

    This was definitely different than other styles I've learned to make. I know fermenting recipes don't use vinegar just a salt solution and just leave out like i think you did, no refrigeration, least i didn't catch you saying to do that, but refrigerator pickles do use vinegar, but you keep them in the fridge for up to several months. Or vinegar recipes have you heat and process water bath so lids seal. But this didn't do that either. So admittedly I'm a little confused how to tell if the pickles ever go bad with no refrigeration, no tight seal and not sure if fermentation continues or maybe the vinegar is what doesn't allow fermentation???

    • @beebahscountrykitchen8683
      @beebahscountrykitchen8683  6 месяцев назад +1

      I have never processed any pickles in a water bath, which would cook them. I have never had any pickles to go bad. I have had them in my pantry for up to two or three years. The only problem being they start to get soft after a long period of time. This particular recipe, I made last year and probably had about a dozen quart jars out of that recipe. They lasted for a year before we had finished eating all of them and none of them had gone bad nor had any of them turned soft. I hope this will help to answer your question.thanks for watching!

    I've never made pickles. Is this what is referred to as bread & butter pickles? I could eat my weight in bread & butter pickles....lol

      No these aren’t bread and butter, but are equally as good. This process is really easy. You should give it a try!!!😊
