You should make a video of what you all go through to film these videos. Equipment, video editing tools, tips etc. great videos! I can’t tell you how many nights I sit and take notes to all your videos and use them in the water! Thanks!
So that's where all the Okuma cold water reels have gone! Great video as always Tom, always learning something new with you and never a dull moment catching doubles all day!!! Cheers
Just got back yesterday from a trip to Hayward for 4 days. Wish I could have spent more time up there. We fished 3 different lakes and only caught small fish but we had fun. You live in a beautiful part of the country.
keep up the great work tom. Up here in Alberta we only have 900 fishable lakes and with over 200 000 anglers they see a lot of pressure these are good tips to always change it up
Great Content I think the reason people stopped using the scatter raps is paying up to10 dollars a piece and bills just falling off and/or breaking But holy man they will catch em Your videos are Money!
No joke! I have pulled lures out of the box and found the bills loose. Epoxy fixes it but not if you lose the body during a fish catch. Quality control is sure lacking considering how the price has skyrocketed.
I ran across a walleye video showing a fishing technique called the slow death. It’s a number 2 Aberdeen hook bent so the worm spins a certain way. Have you ever heard of this and if so have you tried it.
What kind of line do you attach to your leadcore? And what type of knot. Great content. Wish I was with ya. Only been fishing for about an hour all year. Work is finally done and it's time to start fishing 🎣
Tom, Great informative video. I've never done any lead core fishing and wanted to know that since the scatter rap say 6' to 9''are you letting out more line to get to the 20' depth? Also, if I were to buy a trolling rod is there advantage to 1piece over 2piece? Thanks!
Scatter Raps are a new staple of mine. The minnow I tend to avoid now tho. I just find 3 trebles to be too much of a PITA. Glass Shad, Deep Husky Jerk and Tail Dancers are my go-to scatter raps.
Hey Tom wondering if you can help me out with my Helix 9 si/di chirp G4n. Never been able to notice or see my jig or hook on my screen. I have almost all setting like I should I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Pls if you have time shoot me a message to suggest anything g with settings I may have set wrong . Should it be easier to see on transom high speed transducer on back or the Frontera si and di on the ulterra? Thanks dude. Massive fan and subscriber from Alberta Canada. Watching all your vids your number one with quality informative info.👍😉
In watching this video you mentioned that you have about 35 feet of leader on the end of the leadcore. How do you account for the 35ft in terms of the actual depth you are fishing?
Hey Tom, great video. I'm waiting for the pleasure boats to get off the lake so I can start doing some serious trolling this fall. Have you ever tried a snap weight in comparison to lead core? Shorter leads to achieve the same depth as lead core, and you can still send it out on a planer board to get away from the boat. Just curious on your thoughts about that.
Not that you asked me but I make my own and find them invaluable. Leadcore has its place but 80% of the time I run drop weights and have had great success. And I don't fish large walleye producing lakes if you know what I mean.
Hey Tom, the scatter rap minnow cranks became unpopular because the bills kept falling off and rendering a $9 or $10 bait useless. Hopefully Rapala fixed the problem.
Watch RUclips videos. Got to pull back the sheath and cut like 8” of lead off and you tie your knot using that 8” or so without lead inside. Double uni works good
Hey Tom….when you run leadcore what pound test do you use and how much do you use? 100yds with a mono filler underneath? Also, do you have to use boards or can you just longline and hold the rod?
I'm having with drawls Tom! LOL. I check your videos everyday. Do you have a separate channel for muskies? Its crazy talking Walleyes to people who say" check this guy out " (Tom Boley) . Awesome content! I'm happy all is well. I'm adding to my bucket list! I want to hit Wisconsin, Devils Lake and the closest the St.Croix River. Thanks for the heads up! I would love to see a video of you putting a group of random guys on fish and showing ( US ) your stuff. LOL. Oh, I have a group of 15 to 20 guys heading to Grand Rapids, Mn Sept.30th -3rd. LOL. Love my New Shirt. Keep it coming
You are a true expert. Make it look so easy. Your credibility is through the roof. When you speak, I listen.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and excitement. I agree it never gets old.
Thank you Tom. Now, off to find some scatter raps!
Love the video as usual!! Definitely loving the socks 🤪

Tom, How does the thermocline relate tot he depths you are fishing? Curious how it palys into the troll depths. Thanks for the videos, fun to watch.
Amazing doubling up what a blast. Scatter Rap I just ordered a few ... Thanks!!!
Keep up the good work Tom, the videos are always great!
Those are the days we fish for. Awesome video again.
Purple and gold for the sock choice your favorite colors. Nice work man.
just finished up 9 days on leech lake and the scatter Raps ruled, purple chrome and blue chrome took some really big fish. it's the bomb!!!
Did you use leadcore or another application?
Nice socks. I told my wife you did it to generate comments, so I am commenting. 😁 Great video.
That was a fun video to watch . Love it.

Love how you finish thé show Woo wee
great as usual, are you counting colors or using the counter? Could you explain calibrating your reels to the line?, thanks
What size cold water reels you using for leadcore?
In darker muddied water have you ever used egg weights to get it down in a shorter length of line?
Great Content I think the reason people stopped using the scatter raps is paying up to10 dollars a piece and bills just falling off and/or breaking But holy man they will catch em Your videos are Money!

A recent video of his he was using slow death hooks
Slow death hooks come bent.
Tru-Turn started the curved hook craze 30ish years ago.
Love those scatter raps! You have to try the rainbow trout pattern as well....clear water killer whether trout are in the lake or not
Absolutely great videos, Tom! I'm wondering if I could possibly get tall versions of your hoodies?
Yes I also would like a tall.
Same
Yeah you need to get some XXXL I ordered a XXL and it was a like Chris Farley fat guy in a little coat thanks
Fat kids need to represent!! Looking for a 5XLT! Let’s make it happen Tom🤑
How do you like your Suzuki 90? My old evinrude 90 just blew up, and I’m looking for a brand new motor, not sure if I should get a Yamaha or Suzuki
Great video again…I live on the west side of millelacs, water temp is 68
Could you do a video on how you sort/organize all your tackle?
What kind of line do you attach to your leadcore? And what type of knot.
Great content. Wish I was with ya. Only been fishing for about an hour all year. Work is finally done and it's time to start fishing 🎣
Good videos. What rods do you use for trolling walleyes?
2B Genesis Trolling Rods 86
I wish I was in the boat with that double hookup.
Tom - What kind of boat/motor package do you have?
Tom, Great informative video. I've never done any lead core fishing and wanted to know that since the scatter rap say 6' to 9''are you letting out more line to get to the 20' depth? Also, if I were to buy a trolling rod is there advantage to 1piece over 2piece? Thanks!
I’d go telescoping for a trolling rod.
Scatter Raps are a new staple of mine. The minnow I tend to avoid now tho. I just find 3 trebles to be too much of a PITA. Glass Shad, Deep Husky Jerk and Tail Dancers are my go-to scatter raps.
I hear ya. Any minnow cranks I have with three trebles, Ill remove the the treble closest to the head and just fish with the last two.
Great show, i'm a new follower. I always get too many bones cleaning perch. Maybe you could show some cleaning tricks
Thanks

Why not troll with the 9.9?
Hey Tom, the scatter rap minnow cranks became unpopular because the bills kept falling off and rendering a $9 or $10 bait useless. Hopefully Rapala fixed the problem.
Tom, how fast are you trolling?
What's a good reel to put it on lead core on and what lbs you running
Anytime outros/talks get interrupted with fish is a great time
I know your a busy guy and even busy people have a right to take a break or even a fishing-free vacation
What is the purpose of fluorescent socks????
Hey Tom, what's up with your socks? Great video.
Tom, What weight lead core are you running? 12, 18 or 27 lb?
Found my answer in a video you did last year, u are using 18 lb lead core.
What weight lead core are you running?
Tom, maybe sometime show how you tie the leader to the lead core. ...I get kinks in the lead...
Watch RUclips videos. Got to pull back the sheath and cut like 8” of lead off and you tie your knot using that 8” or so without lead inside. Double uni works good
@@Josh-sd1hg Thank you.
How fast are you trolling?
How many colors are you running do get the scatter raps down to 26ft?
Figure 5’ for each color for a starting point then your speed will determine deeper or shallower but 2 mph is usually the starting point.
you should come fish the fall brawl on erie in a month . ranger 622 for 1st
Are they suspended basin fish or 25ft of water or both? Thanks for the great content!
Nvm I should have finished the video before asking
How often do you fish THAT lake?
the walleye whisperer
Fantastic video. Ever fish vermilion, n. Mn
Does Tom every reply to any of his comments? (or is there some subscribe count where that can't really work? :) )
Are scatter tail dancing 🕺 or the scatter husky??
They’re the minnow
