      No joke! I have pulled lures out of the box and found the bills loose. Epoxy fixes it but not if you lose the body during a fish catch. Quality control is sure lacking considering how the price has skyrocketed.

    Tom, Great informative video. I've never done any lead core fishing and wanted to know that since the scatter rap say 6' to 9''are you letting out more line to get to the 20' depth? Also, if I were to buy a trolling rod is there advantage to 1piece over 2piece? Thanks!

    Scatter Raps are a new staple of mine. The minnow I tend to avoid now tho. I just find 3 trebles to be too much of a PITA. Glass Shad, Deep Husky Jerk and Tail Dancers are my go-to scatter raps.

    • @loboyd691
      @loboyd691 3 года назад

      I hear ya. Any minnow cranks I have with three trebles, Ill remove the the treble closest to the head and just fish with the last two.

I have almost all setting like I should I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Pls if you have time shoot me a message to suggest anything g with settings I may have set wrong . Should it be easier to see on transom high speed transducer on back or the Frontera si and di on the ulterra? Thanks dude. Massive fan and subscriber from Alberta Canada. Watching all your vids your number one with quality informative info.👍😉

    In watching this video you mentioned that you have about 35 feet of leader on the end of the leadcore. How do you account for the 35ft in terms of the actual depth you are fishing?

  • @billkeller6023
    @billkeller6023 3 года назад +2

    Hey Tom, great video. I'm waiting for the pleasure boats to get off the lake so I can start doing some serious trolling this fall. Have you ever tried a snap weight in comparison to lead core? Shorter leads to achieve the same depth as lead core, and you can still send it out on a planer board to get away from the boat. Just curious on your thoughts about that.

    • @patricktorgrimson3996
      @patricktorgrimson3996 3 года назад

      Not that you asked me but I make my own and find them invaluable. Leadcore has its place but 80% of the time I run drop weights and have had great success. And I don't fish large walleye producing lakes if you know what I mean.

    Hey Tom, the scatter rap minnow cranks became unpopular because the bills kept falling off and rendering a $9 or $10 bait useless. Hopefully Rapala fixed the problem.
