    Reminds me of Chopin's prelude no. 19. I know Chopin adored Czerny, so it's not an unlikely comparison.

    It is Mendelssohn like even the melody is straight from song without words

      No, Mendelssohn is like Czerny, because he lived earlier than Mendelssohn, therefore Mendelssohn got inspired by Czerny. Czerny is classicism with romantic tendency and Mendelssohn is early romanticism with tendency of classicism, due to a rapid transition between classicism and romnticism. Czerny was 18 years older than Mendelssohn and we shoudl mention, that many composers in romantic era got inspired by Czerny's etudes. This etude looks really like Chopin's etude no 1 op. 10 "Aeolian harp", the ending is extremly similar and the sheet music as well,

    De zelfde toonsoort als opus 25nr1 van Chopin en een charmant stuk in het het repertoire van Czerny hoewel het muzikaal niet in de buurt komt van Chopin en Schumann hun pianovruchten. Toch een sympathiek stuk en tegelijkertijd een zeer nuttige etude in meerdere pianotechnische opzichten. Wat ook leuk is is dat je het stuk in verschillende tempi kan spelen hoewel het beste toch tot zijn recht komt in een sneller tempo.
