    They had a wonderful partnership. He was a great actor and strong physically. She was tiny and always said he was her favorite partner and felt safe with him. A lovely performance and as for Macmillan well he was a genius

    This is so gorgeously choreographed and performed, the dancing is just absolutely divine! Mukhamedov is one of my top 5 danseurs, because of so many reasons it would be absurd to list them all! Suffice it to say that, although he was fantastic in “Spartacus” and other Grigorovich’s “heroic” ballets, I’m so glad he found a way to emigrate to England where, with the attention from Macmillan and other great choreographers, Mukhamedov was finally able to develop and showcase his sensitive, intensely musical and lyrical skills, along with his incredible strength and bravura. And Viviana Durante…..WOW!! She was such a great partner for Mukhamedov, so strong, vibrant, and accomplished; they really are poetry in motion!

      Both were much loved dancers at the royal ballet and i am very lucky to have seen them dance many times. He was a very butch but sensitive dancer and had a great jump and they formed a great partnership. A very relaxing piece and as you said No words, thats what is so lovely about dancing. no words are needed.

    Does anyone know who choreographed this? ON this occasion, the stage was too small t accomodate the dancers. Lovely duet.

    • @JohnRaymondHall
      @JohnRaymondHall  7 лет назад +1

      The choreography is by Kenneth MacMillan to music of Giuseppe Verdi. :)
