i had my interview today for a grad program at NYU, and i feel like it shot my confidence because i was just so nervous 😭. it was very grounding to be in a space where i could recognize that those around me are more traditionally successful than myself, and are extremely ambitious with high aptitudes and consistent results through their work. but "why?" would i apply for such a program? i want to feel fulfilled. i don't exactly know what will take me to that destination, but i do know that i always feel better at the end of a challenging day than an easy one, so i continue to climb.
Yeah I feel like we do a lot of things and make a lot of decisions without understanding the driving factor. Like why did I go to college? Because it's what everyone does? To get a well paying job? Why do I want a well paying job? I feel like the answers we have for the things we do are never the real reasons so we have to look deeper for actual "why's".
