The 1957 Johnson, Evinrude 35 hp engines (some of the best ever built, Mercury's of that vintage all went to the scrap heap early ) came with 2 line tanks. Also Gale, Bucaneer and Montgomery Ward Sea King outboards were built by OMC (Johnson, Evinrude) and also used two line tanks. I have converted more than a few over the years as I have owned over 100 outboard motors since the early 60's. Wish you had these then.
I forgot to add the old and cheap way of converting them was to dill the cover and install a hose nipple. Install the same on the fuel pump and attach it to a L shaped bracket and mount it in a convenient place inside the motor housing.
any 2 stroke divorced fuel oump can easily be adapted, I used a Mikuni divroced 2 stroke fuel pump on my old martin 10 HP outboard, simply tap a line to the motor lower case to have a pulsating signal and direct it to your fuel pump,
nothing to custom machine, only a rurimetary bracket to design and fabricate.
I was thinking about switching one of my RDE-18 30 hp over to single line are the screws stainless steel I bought your shift rod punch out tool works great 👍
Screws are stainless
What fuel pump on Amazon?
I have a 1957 10 hp
evinrude sportswin I'm interested in converting it , can you help me out ?
Have you ever considered making one for the 5.5 Johnson's?
My bypass cover plates (or any bypass cover plate) will not work for the 5.5 hp motors. The 5.5 hp motors are more involved to convert to a single line system. See the link below

hey i bought your plate for a 35 hp evinrude and its to small. and it be nice to see a 35 hp motor how to. I drilled my one that came with the motor. what to do with the old tubes that come out?
It’s the same process as the 10 hp in this video. Johnson Evinrude OMC 10 Hp Bypass Cover Adapter for Fuel Pump Conversion (Single Line Tank)

I got some questions im trying to convert a 1956 Evinrude Fastwin 15hp from old pressure tank. What do i need?

Last question I promise lol do you have to pull check valves and plug on port in reed plate behind carb when using this plate and diaphragm pump? Or is does a guy just install plate/pump and fuel line in/out… and plug pressure line off bottom of carb where pressurized line originally came from?
Yep, ypu have to put a plug over the vacuum nipple that is not covered by the new plate. Any automotive parts store will carry sets of vacuum rubber caps in different sizes - cheap and simple to install.
Question for the 30Hp does a guy use same fuel pump as the other 3 engine plates?
I emailed to purchase today look forward to hearing from you
A: Fuel pump/conversion kit with everything needed so I can hook up to a fuel tank
A: my RD series bypass cover will do the trick. The bypass cover comes with fuel pump two mounting screws. You’ll need to get the fuel pump and gasket separately. See here: thisoldoutboard.com/custom-bypass-cover/
Q: also need coils/points/condensers/carburetor kit.
A: www.marineengine.com/parts/johnson-evinrude-parts.php?year=1957&hp=35&model=RD-19&manufacturer=Johnson§ion=Magneto+Group
Q: one last thing I’ve watch you plate to garden hose adapter for running motor instead of barrel as muffs aren’t sufficient. Any chance this is available?
A: yes they are! See my listings below:

Ok awesome can you give me fuel pump link ? There seems to be a lot of options and like to purchase correct one
Also curious do I need two adapter plates? Or can I just mount one on top cylinder?

Hey Jo what’s your opinion on this plate being flat vs the original 56’ cover has a wing on the internal side (air flow direction?) it appears yours are flat and factor are not. Just curious if you’ve tested a lot on 30Hp is all just a concern
No issues reported / seen / or experienced not having the cupped internal side feature.
Does it not matter that the backside doesn't have the contour?
It does not seem to matter
