It’s been raining a lot, and I spend some time with the Guinea Fowls :)

  • Hello! I just want to say thank you so much for 200+ subscribers!!!!! ❤️❤️ I’ve really enjoyed making videos about the Guinea fowls and getting comments.
Turns out we have some more straw in a different shed, i’ll add more to their house tomorro. I dont have any sand left, once its not raining as much i’ll remake the sand bath. This is also Charles and Normans first wonter together! Sorry I haven’t been able to stream on twitch yet, it’s been a hectic month. Thanks! Have a lovely day :)

🥰🥰 Normans still relatively new (the pied Guinea Fowl), so she’s still getting used to me. Hopefully I’ll be able to pat her one day! It’s lovely being able to pat Charle, her feathers are so interesting to pat. They feel very waterproof when Charle has her feathers down, but when she ruffles her feathers their so soft! That’s so cute that your Guinea Fowls eat off your hands! I’m sure it would of taken a lot of time just being near your Guineas Fowls. Mine don’t eat off my hands, but if I offer them blades of grass they’ll usually eat that. Thank you for the lovely comment!

Yea, I love to feel our keets' feathers and snuggle them!! They don't seem soft on the outside, but when you fluff them, they're really soft! I free range mine so I think they are used to the grass, but I do feed them grains so they are kind of picky lol

There’s lots of predators around here unfortunately, someone close to me recently lost all of their chooks, I would be devastated if I lost my Guineas. I let them out some days, while I’m present, not when it’s been flooding though since they don’t like it. It’s usually a bit stressful for everyone involved. I worry about them too when their out. I can’t catch the Guineas so I just leave their house door open, and their usually in there within an hour. I’m saving up to extend their house so they have more room.
