I eat with autism so ive got some sensory issues with certain foods thus i make mine a bit different i sautee my onions and garlic at the same time about 1 large yellow onion 5 or 6 cloves of garlic(i like garlic) i usually do half and half so half of the garlic will be slices for early on flavour and half of the cloves are grated to bring out more garlic flavour again a bit later into the sauce after my greens are done i add a bit of chili flakes as i like some spice to my pasta but thats just me being me then i add my beef and pork sausage or small pork cubes i usually scoop the onion and garlic onto a big spoon and place it ontop of the meats so the meats have direct pan contact to brown nicely once they've got a browned crust i mix and break it all up then add a packet of sifted tomato it's still got full tomato flavour but it's a lot finer on texture than crushed tomatos as i cannot eat tomatoes raw or in chunks it makes me nauseous and throw up so i add it that way i also throw in a bit of tomato puree/paste for some extra tomato flavour add my seasonings and spices usually a tiny bit of thyme salt pepper oregano basil parsley a bit of paprika powder (smoked or even sweet hungarian) a lil of the pasta water helps lift some tomato flavour if its too tomato'ey and can help loosen the sauce if it's too thick for your liking add a bit of parmesan cheese and serve a bit of extra parmesan on the side for whoever wants extra and boom dinners ready thanks for reading my rant about my food 😂❤
Basil it's not vital in this recipe, it only adds its flavour but nothing more, what should never lack is "Origano" not too much because it is strong but must be in it. Enjoy 🇮🇹❤️

@tbow13gbr22 you really don't get the point, do you? It's like adding heavy cream to a dish you are calling "carbonara". Nobody says you can't add heavy cream to pasta, but you can't call it carbonara anymore because it's not. Same with this recipe, it's just not arrabiata anymore.
@@ibby1295 Fresh chili, lots of garlic, tomatoes (canned are fine), parsley is often added and some optional basil towards the end. Parmigiano Regiano or Grana Padano to finish it off on the plate. Chili flakes are not a good replacement for fresh chili, oregano has no place in this at all, same for onions, they are not needed here. If there is anything special you can do it's simply giving it time to reduce, instead of making it in 5 minutes like most people do. Oh and don't forget to season it. Some salt and pepper and some sugar if you want to as it intensifies the tomato flavour

May I add arabiata has no oregano, basil, or cheese From an Arab the garlic need to be light golden colour, it also seasoned with dried coriander and cumin (I like to use cardimom instead of cumin) u also may add butter or ghee for a rich flavour
Ive been making it like this or similar for a few years, its crazy how easy it is to really go from crap to good spaghetti

Don’t drain your pasta, put the pasta in the sauce directly from the water. And use some of the water
These are wrong ingredients. No onion no basi and you need to add parsley in the end and pasta water and also pepper!
