I’m a 37 year old black man from Chicago but living in Kansas now. This band is easily the best rock band to have come out within the last 10 years. I saw them in September of 2019 and they sound so fucking good live! One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to

I think this may be their best live concert, ever, and one of THE BEST LIVE CONCERTS, ever. Much more to come from these beautiful guys 😇 Their latest album, BTW . . . ROCKS!!! Am still exploring but the SOUND, and Natural Born Killer, are freaking Aces. I was fortunate to see them at red rocks a couple of weeks ago!!!!!
They're like really good noise canceling headphones. You put them in so that you can hear yourself singing and you know that you aren't off key. Since he isn't using them he is just listening to himself sing through the speakers which is very difficult at times. Especially with how much he moves around on the stage what he is getting as feedback is fairly unreliable. Yet he is always on key as he should be!
I have played with and without ear monitors before. I definitely prefer to not have ear buds. The sound is so much better without the buds, you can feel and hear everything, and I feel like it's much easier to stay on key when singing without earbuds.
Its actually used for feedback. Sometimes you cant hear yourself on stage depending on a few factors... saw Liam Gallagher a few weeks ago and he didn't used one, also
I wouldn't say that not wearing in ears proves that he is a great vocalist. He will gradually lose his hearing and/or get tinnitus which honestly sucks balls...
I still can't get over, even after these past years, how awesome Johnny is and how it still doesn't look like that voice comes out of him! I'm 51 years old and this rock is timeless!
These guys are ultra talented. I don't like too much rock music from today (I know I sound old af) but these guys have figured out something that truly works and has some real magic behind it. It's quite clear where some of their inspirations are being derived from. I truly appreciate how hard they're pushing it, but at the same time I just hope they survive it so they can enjoy the rest. Do it BIG gentlemen! Thanks for the epic music!
Stopped playing guitar 20 years ago. Discovered these guys a year or so ago. Started playing guitar again. These guys rock. So much originality, creativity. Rock on
I honestly didn't know bands like this still existed - this is my new favorite by far and I'm only sad that there's not more content out there from these guys yet. I've looped both their Spotify albums for the past 2-3 weeks constantly and am so impressed. Great quality music, awesome lyrics, an awesome lead that's captivating and can sing AND scream, and can put on a great show without a lot of fake shit going on to support a lack of real talent. LOVE these guys - don't understand why they're not number one right now honestly.

Finally a good live view that does them justice,I've seen them live 5 time so far and they are fucking great. Top 5 best live performance I've ever seen and I have been to hundreds if not not a thousand concerts.
I wish we could get this Era of Highly Suspect for one more album. I don't dislike the new stuff just love the songs and their structure better in the earlier days.

Objectively incredible. This is my first time watching the whole show, and my jaw is on the floor. There's just no way to articulate how good this set sounds and how tight they are. I'm watching perfection, and I don't know where to put my hands.

He loves QOTSA and introduced me to Josh Homme's music, and he loves a lot of old rock, but he is not into new Alice in Chains (who i love), or Highly Suspect. He says hardly any of his peers love rock and that it's dying. You have to have a rebellious spirit to love rock, and sadly, this is what i feel young people need these days. They are missing out on some of this great stuff, while there is so much rap crap out there (in my opinion) that is mind numbingly stupid. Highly Suspect touches on a lot of stuff . . . i also love Gobsmack (also influenced by AIC).

It took 16 seconds to love you, and why is that? Some bands are just graced by God if you ask me, Johns weird tuning of the guitar and how he masters these halftones coming out of it , is not only genious, its also brave ... knowing your audience like that, from the top of my Radiohead i cant name so many other bands pulling off so great weird songs and immediately make people fall in love with them!

I was born in 1970 and I have a l ot of music . After hearing this music and watching these highly talenteded , highly suspect me nen rock it, I have watched them on the daily! They have helped me through so much and they deserve so much more credit than they have gotten. They are real and say it the way it is!! Thank you highly suspect for all that you have done for my life.
One of my biggest regrets is being at this festival and not being in that tent.
