- This test was fun. I asked the fire chief last year if I could set this off one day. He said yes but when I had no school, it’s now summer break for me so I went up to him before the test and asked if I could turn it on. He said yes and I got to press the button. Halfway through the test, the fire chief got confused about two buttons. One said “start” and one said “stop” he pressed start but he didn’t know it was the controller for the model 2. The model 2 struggled to fire up as it hadn’t been activated for 20 years, otherwise it sounded like it was brand new. The chief, Dan kept the model 2 going until the thunderbolt 1003 completely shut off. Shout out to central Stickney fire protection district for being nice enough to let me set off the thunderbolt alone! I hope you guys like this video and make sure to drop a like and subscribe.

Dude, this is literally history! I’ve been wanting to see the controls for so long, and here we are! And on top of that the Model 2 goes off! Awesome video, I’ve GOT to come back to CS!
Very cool! and interesting how they integrated the AF into the desk/control area!
Wow, that thing is loud.
The model 2 came back to life again!
The fire chief accidentally pressed the button not knowing what it was for and he still kept the siren on for me. Shout out to him!
Pretty awesome stuff.
