SIN MIEDO was probably the most dynamic, progressive alternative rap I’ve heard all year, and probably since “Superman That” by injury reserve on the album “by the time I get to phoenix”. Incredible album
What I notice from Kanye is that he is somehow reminiscent of artist painting beautiful works and turned into modern grimy experimental artists that has suffered from mental illness at the latter part of their life. It is a sad pattern to see. You could see his art being a lot more chaotic every time, from the videos to the music, less effort that shows signs of rebellious acts against art itself. I wouldn't say there is no creativity in it. It's just a minimalist slop of cement on paper

i genuinley think peggy is the best active producer. ofc there is metro and some other older producers that are still active like the alchemist and madlib. There is loads to mention. but in terms of influence, uniqueness, quality, consistency, he is becoming one of the best in my opinion. 2 AOTY contenders in 2 years for me. Hope there is more to come

You know more about how he did it? Small chops and synth-type manip? Is there a guitar vsti like that? In metal there's a drummer called Anup Sastry who does albums with him on drums and very real sounding, heavy, doom-style guitars. But he doesn't play, so he just plays individual notes and moves them around... and honestly as a guitar player myself I was impressed. I know Peggy can sample like mad, so I thought maybe he did similar. I know a few years back he said he had been dabbling at learning to play. Makes me wonder if he uses a real guitar to build that sound.
