- Papa and I went catfishing at a dam on the Arkansas River. We used catalpa worms and caught our limit! We caught a bunch of blues and some channels along the bank! #bigcatfish #catfishing2022 #catfishingarkansasriver #rivercatfishing #damcatfishing #fishing #fishingcatfish #catalpaworms #bestcatfishbait #fishingcatalpaworms #catfishcandy #channelcatfishing #bluecatfish #bluecatfishing #damfishing #catfishingvideos #bankfishing
That is some chunky catfish. Good job.
That's a good day of fishing!!
Yes it was! We had a blast! I’ll definitely have the Dipnet next time!
Great fishing trip buddy thanks for sharing this with us 😁😁👍
Thanks for watching Woody's trapping! It was a great day!
What a great day of fishing
We had a great day for sure. Catfishing vids are about to start up this June. Thx for watching Zachary Crawford!
wow, never seen fishing with these worms before. Those cats seems to love them. No doubt that it works.
Yea definitely have caught a bunch of catfish using them! My biggest was a 25lb blue! I think when I go back, I'm going to use some big cut up shad or skipjack hoping to catch one bigger.
Where did you get your worms. What the name of the worm?
Dang you had a great day nice fish
Good God a mighty I didn't know there was a limit on Catfish anywhere you did very well that day that's for sure
Thanks John! We had a great day using catalpa worms!
Looks like y’all hit it just right. Those two gates were opened up higher when we were there. I’m guessing you got on the pre spawn feed. That’s awesome
Yea this was in Mid may. We hit it just right that day! I wanted to go back but didn’t have the time. I went the other day and didn’t do very good.
@@zachstuckeyoutdoors5786 yea the water temp is in low 70’s. They spawning
Great job. You'll be cleaning till midnight 😂 .
If I remember correctly you can catch 10 channels above daily limit on the Arkansas River because they’re over populated. Pretty sure from Oklahoma line down to Wilbur D. From Yoncapin railroad bridge down to Mississippi there is no catfish limit. Might check me on it
Really I didn’t know that. I definitely have to check up on that! At certain times it is full of those small channels.
@@zachstuckeyoutdoors5786 it’s in back of the book under flowing water regs. Might call to double check
Is that Penn squall good for casting long distances because I fish from the bank. I usually get lil over 100yds with my spinning reels
The "small one" you threw back is probably my PB 😂
Dang. Find a spillway or any lock and dam! You should have no problem catching a good one. Might take some time to learn a new place.
@zachstuckeyoutdoors5786 yea I just have to get out more. I don't fish very often ad I'd like. Love the channel
@@pbpyro5546 oh ok I gotcha. Glad you like the channel. Appreciate the support!
Where do u find the worms I can’t seem to find them in Oklahoma
There should be plenty around. I know when I drive through northern Arkansas, they’ll be on the side of roads, ditches, and I even found a bunch of small ones in an old parking lot. I pulled 20 of them, bought a small ice-chest, stuck the roots in water till I got home, then potted them. About 15 of them made it and I planted them with my other trees. We have 65 total. I have gotten them from all over the state. I would keep driving and looking. There’s got to be some around close.
@@zachstuckeyoutdoors5786 what do the trees look like and do the produce webs
@@Christian_Edwards no they don’t produce webs. I got a video on my channel I recently posted showing all my catalpa trees and talking about the worms life cycle. I even show some baby catalpa worms.
Where is this river?
You here in Oklahoma? I'm out here for the summer, thought that was keystone dam at first glance on the thumbnail but I was wrong 😂
I'm here in Arkansas. I have fished at a bunch of dams here over the years.
@@zachstuckeyoutdoors5786 Oh nice 🤙 I'll have to check out some of the other trips 👊
What is the name of this bait?
@@cardosoagner catalpa worms. I pick them from catalpa trees every summer.
Is this the big damn bridge in north Little Rock??
Where in Arkansas are you
Where about is this damn what city and what time of year is it?
It’s here in Arkansas and I fish it almost all year long. Toward August September it starts getting very low and they quit running water.
Cataba worms aren't out already are they?
These worms I froze from last year! I’ve had a few on my trees but the main crop of them usually are ready to pick around the 3rd week in June here in Arkansas. With all the hot weather coming on, more moths should start coming out the ground and start laying eggs and should start seeing baby hatch outs.
@@zachstuckeyoutdoors5786 I'm pulling some from the freezer Thursday to try out. They look good.
@@827960 awesome man! Good luck to ya and let me know how ya do!
@Zach Stuckey Outdoors Can I get some Catalpa worms from you? I'm in little Rock, Ar. I dont know where to get around here. Thanks
How many rods are you fishing with???
Just 1. It was very convenient the water was up to sidewalk. Made the fishing easier!
My boi' got enough catfish to feed the whole hood/projectz lmaoooooo 😂🤣😂🤣
Don’t know why I didn’t see this comment. 😂. I’m about to start catching some more soon!
@@zachstuckeyoutdoors5786 no doubt family do your thing new sub rnw
@@ucuttmyballz2210 appreciate it!
What dam is this
Hey man where is this at in Arkansas. When I look up Arkansas river dam it comes up with a bunch of different dams. Love the videos I just subscribed.
Our trees don't have them yet, here in NW NC. Awesome video
Thanks c. game! Yea I’ve had a few on my own trees but we have like 50 catalpa trees planted and let a bunch of worms go every year to reproduce. I have a video of all my catalpa trees if ya want to check that out. The main crop of catalpa worms ready to pick is about the 3rd week of June here in Arkansas.
Would love to know where you are fishing. I live in Arkansas but don't know a good place
Great video and great fish! I just subscribed…I started my own RUclips fishing channel a couple of months ago (I’m in Tulsa) and I really enjoyed your video. Keep up the good work!
Thanks and Glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you subscribing! Keep posting and just keep up the good work!
