This is a newer house based on construction materials used and the use of deck framing style rather than balloon framing. This is modern cheap light construction designed to mimic old construction. You can definitely see the poor quality of it in how pulling the roof down also folds the walls. Older construction would not have pulled apart so easily.
The owners sold voluntarily, and were paid enough of a premium to easily afford another house a little farther from the subway. Also, a number of the houses had been converted to offices, so the businesses in them would have relocated to elsewhere in Bethesda.
Ok. Can someone please explain to me the purpose of using water? I have a few theories on my head but not sure. Love watching these houses come down like paper.
I know it makes these houses like a freakin house of cards shot with a slingshot. Very eerie that all of that hard construction work that sheltered people from the elements while letting them build memories is like a wet paper sack to these CATS.
Wood is still a popular construction material, although engineered wood products like Oriented Strand Board are more likely to be used where ordinary boards were when this old house was built.
My channel is a bit eclectic. Most of the videos deal with pedestrians. However, I also have videos on trains, demolition, sounds of nature, and whatever else I happened to shoot. It is organized into playlists by topic, which may be the easiest way to find other videos that fit your interests.
Mostly boils down to skill and how comfortable you are with the piece of equipment but yes a 336E is very good candidate for demo. I got some good vids similar to this on my channel.
Need more money? Put on another addition, get more rent. Some of the other houses in your series at least had some qualities. This one was like an old horse that needed to be put down. Good series.
That was a beautiful house! Why tear it down?
Wow this what I call demolition not boring to watch
No wonder in a hurricane these houses fall apart. Timber construction might be cheap, but not very strong!
its not gonna hold up real well to a 30k lb bucket and arm crashing down on it xD
Stone construction would be the same.

There are so many people in need of thing that were on that house. Doors windows stair cases lighting so on
All old, energy inefficient. It's worth nothing, and no one's going to spend the time yanking it out. Who needs single pane windows?
chechnya , I do, for a porch, to be enclosed and unheated. I believe in re-purposing as many things as practical.
It makes me want to ask why the houses were built in the first place, does the local authority have a forward looking planning office?
You can't foresee into the future, neighborhoods change.
What did they do to the residents that lived there?
The owners sold voluntarily, and were paid enough of a premium to easily afford another house a little farther from the subway. Also, a number of the houses had been converted to offices, so the businesses in them would have relocated to elsewhere in Bethesda.
Looks like the house wasn’t as secure a Bug Out Location as I thought?
Why was it demolished
awesome vid ! great thanks for posting !
Crazy, looks like a dolls house. Poorly constructed!
No. Powerful machine.
3:43 I thought I had that door locked. :-)
Ok. Can someone please explain to me the purpose of using water? I have a few theories on my head but not sure. Love watching these houses come down like paper.
it keeps the dust down
Oh my goodness, its a very powerful machine to rip through a house like that.
Its just the powerf of the hydraulics.
I know it makes these houses like a freakin house of cards shot with a slingshot. Very eerie that all of that hard construction work that sheltered people from the elements while letting them build memories is like a wet paper sack to these CATS.
But ruin. The tree itself. Are they still building such houses or similar from trees?
Wood is still a popular construction material, although engineered wood products like Oriented Strand Board are more likely to be used where ordinary boards were when this old house was built.
there's countless apartment building that are wood framed, fast, cheap, and quick to construct.
What is your channel about?

woowww what strong roof construction, walls look like paper
Why would they tear that beautiful house down!?
you should see what they will wreck where i live
Why would they tear down a perfectly good house
You only saw the outside ,not inside
thats normal in my village
Ya had one job , homey and that was to demolish a house . The only problem is it was the house next door 😂🙂
Don Hendy lmfao
Certo che li costruiscono case molto sicure.
Basta un po' di vento e se le porta via.
Das war ja sehr stabil
for a apartment wow what a real real waste of houses
Nonsense. Look at the roof line. The thing is a wreck and wasn't so good to begin with. It would be a waste of space to preserve it.
I guess my first question would be..Why???
As said in the description, to make way for an apartment building.
Дома не просто фанерные,они картонные !!!
Did they forget about that security camera?
Was a pretty house from the outside......the operator did a very good job at tearing it down however...........
The operator is much more aggressive and in control than most of these I've watched. Maybe a better machine.
Just right. No uncertainty at all. Let's get the job done.
Better machine, maybe, but it does not change much.

What a dream house
c'est des maisons pour le cinema j'espere que c'est pas des maisons pour le public !
That house looked great.. :(
this used to be my friend's home
This one makes me mad they tore it down.
It looks like it was just insulated, that's the most I've seen of any house being razed..
Cardboard houses!!!
Dommage bel 🏡
They tear them down as fast as they put them up . Its a shame to destroy neighborhoods for developments.
actually faster, where i live.
The structure wasn't that old. Sad waste.
Looks very cheaply made though, the walls look like cardboard and flexed so badly.
1939 with the addition (first part torn down) 1995 about.
what a shame. tear down beautiful old Homes only to put up a shitty flimsy apartment complex
Seems wasteful...cut it in sections & move it!!!
You can't cut a house
wood construction which makes it easyr to demolish & its also cheaper to build
Very flimsy no strength in these types of houses.
Домики то с картона
Could the windows have been saved at least. Did LOOk that old.
Old, energy inefficient single pane windows? Nah
It looks like it's made of cardboard. No structural integrity at all.
Cardboard houses only in America
Need more money? Put on another addition, get more rent. Some of the other houses in your series at least had some qualities. This one was like an old horse that needed to be put down. Good series.
they demolished 123456 all em
Waste of a house
Too disgusting to watch. I turned it off after a couple of minutes.
lol
Фанерные домики.
Amerikanische Pappbauweise.
Denovo
that fixed thumb is a waste, get a better one,
What a shame. What a waist. More global warming.
The building could collapse and kill people
Oh shit
Wrong house!
