I actually LOVE the concept tbh. Instead of trying to rehash backstory from 20yrs ago,this first little teaser season gives new backstory and if Season 2 is the actual “Reboot” they play off it. Also Jennie hooking up with Jason was very blurring of the lines with Brandon & Kelly,I really like it. Also Tori doesnt give herself enough credit,her dad would have to be over the moon about this.
I love love it. Hope they get another season. They did really good playing in2 some of the rumors and being themselves. Comedy and great to watch. A huge fan🥰

Mike Killagreen Yeah but TV ratings aren’t a good metric in 2019. So many people watch shows other ways. Like I missed two episodes because I forgot it was on and watched them on Hulu a couple of days later. Plus besides DVR, there is also On Demand.

Basicially they are seeing if they fill all the time slots and if they have no choice they will renew it. The reboot had potential but it was a failure. They should have done an actual reboot.

growing up loving this show I heard of the drama of course but did not give it much thought. Now the way they put it into perspective - them (especially Shannen and Jennie) saying they were teens and so immature, not able to handle the immense success, getitng into senseless fights, Tori saying they were all unable to enjoy the amazingness this production and its sucess was back then - how sad! as a viewer you would have thought this to be dreams come true for the cast. so sad to think they were blessed with such amazing success a couple of years too early and ruined it for a certain part for themselves and the others with ridiculous highschool like drama.. glad they are back!

The cause that this show is now canceled is most likely linked to Millennials. They probably flipped on the TV, saw it, said "Who the hell are these Boomers?" Then proceeded to change the channel to some other content that Millennials like. There will never be another time like the 90's. To be honest, it was a much better time than it is now. With the amount of respect Millenials have for Boomers, It's best to retort right back at them.
If there's a season 2, Joe E. Tata needs to make an appearance. His name was brought up during this week's episode. Maybe he could come back to give Jason some words of wisdom.

That's a lot by today's standards. You will never see ratings for t.v shows like in the 90's, 80's, 70's. People don't watch T.V like that anymore. Like families gathered at the dinner table. Also there are a lot more things to do and watch nowadays.
