my favorite thing about this cover was its simplicity. Just 2 cellos, no huge accompanying orchestra or guest singer, just our 2 boys doing what they do best.
What a blessing! I listen to it often and love watching them on TV Today I'm sharing with my friends for Easter. Cello has been the love of my life since I was 13, 73 now. Theses guys are the best musicians.
This is simply the most exquisite version of this song that I have ever heard. I know no other way to describe it. I'm sitting here in my living room with the only light being provided by my Christmas tree and I can just close my eyes and literally "see" the notes and lyrics in my head (which bobs gently), and wait for the hairs on my arms to be at ease again. Life has thrown me many hurtful curveballs lately, but that melts away for a few minutes, and I'm so privileged for that. I hope there are others out there experiencing the same at the same time. Merry Christmas to all of you out there, even those of different faiths or no faiths at all. But definitely good will toward everyone.
If someone had asked me if I would ever accept a version of this song without lyrics I would have told them, "Never!". This video changed my mind, it captures the soul of the song very well without saying a word.
Brigand231's Videos: Get ready to change your mind yet again with another awesome rendition of "Halleluah". Go to: ruclips.net/video/h2Gt2_7aC6c/видео.html . Peace!
@@sfmike711 That was good, but somehow just not "there" for me, sorry. I think what's holding it back, in my opinion, is paying lip service (hah!) to the lyrics without actually singing them properly. Had they simply used "ooh" or "aah" instead of half-phrases it wouldn't feel so much like a ghost of the original to me. It proved they COULD have used the lyrics and chose not to. Again, just my taste, but that's wrong. Go all the way or don't mess with a working formula. Edit: Listening to the violin version again, it also felt kinda rushed to me.
Music for the soul indeed...Yet without humans there are no souls. Though I agree that a considerable pourcentage of humanity are sadly not in touch with their souls!
This just made me cry. This song has never ever made me cry before, whereas you made it sound so angelic, so beautiful that tears just started running down my cheeks
Just attended the concert in Brisbane where they played this last...even Hauser had tears in his eyes whilst playing it..the most beautiful moment of my life I feel 💞🎶💞🎶💞
I heard recently in an interview with Leonard's son Adam that he worked on this song for over a decade. And I agree with you - I think he would've rather enjoyed this.
I can see God on His throne, listening to this heavenly music, deeply appreciate the love flowing from every stroke coming from the hands of His masterpiece called human
renee proud/ARMY I’ve been playing violin for 3 years and I did the same thing when playing cello. It really is a hard instrument in which it sounds spectacular only when you’re really skilled.
When I listen, immediately I am transported to another place and another time. There is nothing I can do but close my eyes, and just live in their world .... transformative .....
I will miss them both as a team, but I understand it was time to move on. Most of all, thank you both for the beautiful gifts you have shared with us all ❤
As a Canadian and hearing so many bad versions of this song this rendition reached right into my soul. This and K.D Lang at the Vancouver Olympics...by far my two favorites.
My wife and I just ended our Christmas holiday with a 3 hour RUclips concert of you music starting with this song. Thank you so very much for sharing your musical talent with us. If you have a USA concert in the future we will certainly attend!
I love all of your work. But this one has got to be my favorite piece that y’all perform. Thank you so much for giving the world a glimpse into your gift.
When musicians can play by ear, not having to read sheet music to be able to play, they are gifted by God. Beautiful. They are Masters in what they do.
One of the finest things I have ever heard... I feel speechless after listening to this... Not to mention the simple refined beauty of the visuals... BRAVO.. Magnificent.. Extraordinary... Any word of praise feels like an understatement for this creation...
This is one of my parents songs.. they have both passed now.. but the way they perform this song is undesirable.. it is so beautiful.. it touches my heart and soul.. they are amazingly talented and beautiful 🌻🦋🌻
One of my favorite songs. I've heard it sang and played by many and have loved everyone of them but this is the the best rendition by far yet that I've heard. Thx 4 giving me a little piece of Heaven.
Last few days I was wishing for you guys to do Hallelujah n you answered my prayer!!! Its unbelievable...Its a Christmas miracle. Thank you guys so much. Its much better than I imagined
A Christmas miracle is God entering time and giving up heaven, coming in human form to show us truth and make a way for us and set us free and his name is Jesus
"Ear-gazmic"! These two guys are absolutely AMAZING! That's talent...that's passion for music...that's....I am out of words....they are so so good! I hope to see them play Live one day. I hope my dream will come true!
Brazil, April 2020 and in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, in isolation and enjoying this duo once again. Hallelujah for being still here and being able to type in how much I love them, even without meeting them in person.
Beautiful. This Leonard Cohen Song has been redone many times. In my humble opinion this instrument has given it's it greatest and most powerful audio.
No bows were hurt during making this video. Congratulations!
Lol
Very funny mate! Check out Mozart meets Metallica! Enter sandman mix.The bow gets it!!
LOL! They always do seem to shred their bows in their videos. I was thinking the same thing.
OML you're right
So funny especially having just watched thunderstruck! 😜
Luka and Stjephan thank you for this wonderful moment
my favorite thing about this cover was its simplicity. Just 2 cellos, no huge accompanying orchestra or guest singer, just our 2 boys doing what they do best.
Agreed
I was thinking the same things ...... and this rendition is just as powerful.
🙌👏
I saw them when they opened for Elton John. Fabulous!
Yup
What a blessing! I listen to it often and love watching them on TV
Today I'm sharing with my friends for Easter. Cello has been the love of my life since I was 13, 73 now. Theses guys are the best musicians.
I Have never heard an instrument speak until now, I have watched this at least 50 times. Amazing
Agree, it is superb, breathtaking.
These Guys Make Their Instruments Scream!!!....But In Such a Beautiful Way!!!
so true, they speak so clearly it's magic
The most beautiful rendition of Hallelujah I've ever heard, 2Cellos really know how to capture the beauty of a song
Yes,yes they do
find ''Klapa Motovun'-Hallelujah in London Church St. Martin in the Fields,a capella,i think you might b surprised.it's on youtube.
Absolutely mesmerizing. Beautiful.
It is fantastic, but I don't think anything could ever quite compare to Jeff Buckley's version
@@centerflag982You mean Leonard Cohen's, do you? 🤨

So great

Amen to that!
Could not have said it better. You gotta close your eyes and listen with your soul.
Goosebumps. This is beyond amazing. You can hear the cellos singing !
All praises to our Father of fathers, I Am! Thank you for your love and proving you are true unfailing Love!
I'd never heard a cello cry before.
William Barnes and oh how they weep!
Every time they play this song, an angel is born.
I never heard a cello sing like this
So BEAUTIFUL beyond words
Nothing weeps like a cello.
I am a 61 yr old Canadian and I have heard so many dreadful renditions of Leonard Cohen's masterpiece…
This was utterly sublime-with no vocals. ♥
Hauntingly Beautiful...Leonard Cohen would be proud.
The beautiful tone of the Cello makes this Masterpiece come to life.❤️💕
Perfect duo!!
Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser are awesome !!!
The most beautiful version of Hallelujah I've heard ...
Beautiful!!! We are so fortunate his dream came true,.he gives to us every moment he plays...we owe him our gratitude always
Speechless! Heavenly beautiful
I'm so in love with 2 cellos and During this pandemic they always fulfill my isolated days...True talents they are.
this is indeed a healing melody.....
11 months later... Still here and in this exact same pandemic :V
And lookers too....lol. yum!
💕
I remember that in six grade our choir we sang that song for our second concert.
This just made me cry. This song has never ever made me cry before, whereas you made it sound so angelic, so beautiful that tears just started running down my cheeks
This is the best version of Hallelujah 😍
omg, melting.....
Not just playing the song, they are FEELING the song!
Just attended the concert in Brisbane where they played this last...even Hauser had tears in his eyes whilst playing it..the most beautiful moment of my life I feel 💞🎶💞🎶💞
Leonard Cohen would love this treatment of his masterpiece.
I heard recently in an interview with Leonard's son Adam that he worked on this song for over a decade. And I agree with you - I think he would've rather enjoyed this.
His voice was singing in my head as I listened to this.
Yes, he would.🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 Glory be to God.
I'm confidant that this pleased the Lord. It sure pleased me. The people who disliked this have no soul. We should pray for them.
I can see God on His throne, listening to this heavenly music, deeply appreciate the love flowing from every stroke coming from the hands of His masterpiece called human
Wonderful! Two beautiful Man with a Cello... A Dream!
So clean. So pure. Beautiful video, too.
Only my tears can tell that. How much this touch my heart.
Was playing the cello and felt frustrated but then saw this and gave me hope to continue playing this beautiful instrument
I've been playing the violin for 4 years. The day I tried playing playing the chello, I end up doing doublestops the whole time. Keep playing.
renee proud/ARMY I’ve been playing violin for 3 years and I did the same thing when playing cello. It really is a hard instrument in which it sounds spectacular only when you’re really skilled.
Keep playing! Are you taking lessons!
I was a viola but my school dont have orchestra *tears*
@@nataliedrain8022 Oh that's too bad do you still play or take extra classes?
Every time I listen to this it makes me cry because it's so beautiful. I can hear the words through the chellos
Brings me peace upon listening.

Beautiful
Yeah. If getting up and walking away hasn't worked, sure, live.
As have I. Beautiful
So true!!! Mesmerizing!!
Me, just shut my eyes and absorb the music.
Two different styles, one crystal clear like water waves, the other one seems like soft wind from spring to summer.
Thank you.
I will miss them both as a team, but I understand it was time to move on. Most of all, thank you both for the beautiful gifts you have shared with us all ❤
Talented and beautiful men performing music like angels. How delightful
What Absolutely Amazing Talent! They dont play music, they EXPRESS it!
No bows were harmed in the making of this song...
This was 4 years ago and I still listen to it today. Amazing and beautiful. And that part where the cello really sings touches my heart.
Breathtaking
I'm sitting in the dark taking it all in.
They are so talented.
Their heart is in their music
the heard and soul they are wonderful

Es gibt kein schöneres Halleluja, als das von L. Cohen. DANKESCHÖN AN EUCH FÜR DIESE WUNDERVOLLE AUFFÜHRUNG!
Sorry... tell that please to Händel!
You know a piece is epic when the instruments literally sound as if they were singing
Almost as if it were.... a sign from god
I often feel as if the notes are so pure it's as if someone is singing.. I'm pleased someone else does. 😊❤
Makes my heart feel love ❤️
These cellos envelop the soul like warm honey.. Simply beautiful. ❤️

Well past my half way mark of life. The most inspiring and beautiful musicians would be an understatement. Absolutely one of my very favorite pieces
