PLEASE HAVE A READ THROUGH SIR The water is heated and then steam passes through turbine and then rotates it back and creates electricity due to faraday's laws. Then the electric power is transmitted through a wire and reaches the home and in our home we gotta use the power by connecting it to the iron box where it converts electricity to heat and all the voltage drops and merely the electrons come to rest here. What's the need for neutral wire ? How do they returns back ? Please have a look sir
In the case of Alternating Current which come to our home, actually the electrons are not traveling the whole way from the power station to our home. Actually they are oscillating back and forth at 50 Hz. But for the electron to flow, there must be a potential difference. Neutral Wire is only providing that required potential. In the AC generator, the coil has two ends. If you consider one end as Phase, the other end can be considered as Neutral. For Current flow, we need a closed path.
There are two principles we have to consider. 1. Conservation of Energy and 2. Conservation of Charge. C.E you have already mentioned. Energy will be lost as work+hear. But think about C.C. There must be conservation of charge. The number of Electrons leaving the AC generator must return to the AC generator itself. So we can't say electrons are lost or electrons come to rest. For analogy you consider a water pipe connected as a loop. That means at any time the water within the pipe is constant. We are not providing water from outside. On one side of the loop, we have a pump and on the other side we have a turbine. Since the pipe is a loop and closed circuit, water will return to the pump itself after rotating the turbine. Here also work done and water lost potential. But water must return. Otherwise the circuit will be open and water will not flow.
Current flows only when a pot difference is maintained man . The neutral wire maintains this pot difference since potential of live is 220 and neutral is 0 . It is also said that the neutral wire takes in the current and the neutral wire brings back the current

What is the need of neutral wire here ? We are solely need of only live here. Please explain logically sir
