The difference is negligible, plus the suppressor has penalties on draw speed and ADS. Especially if you're already running the RK-3 foregrip. Running the suppressor is useless unless you have the one from New Year's Event.
I recommend using the Fortis shift foregrip if you're looking to slap the suppressor onto ASh-12. Similarly, use RK-3 if you'd rather have the barrel. Do not use two attachments with debuffs. I'd rather use one to counteract the negative stats of the other.
I appreciate it! I've been trying to keep using it despite the recent nerfs to it, and it feels like you kind of have to use a 1-2x sight for it to feel somewhat consistent. Maybe it's just me? Don't know, feels underwhelming for what a headache it can be to farm for. Mine is a 13 and I can't wait to get it to a 15.
@@stevegaming1013Well the gun itself does have its fair share of ups. For instance 12.7mm ammo has a lot of inherent armor penetration and stopping power. Stopping power in this game translates to staggering effect, if you shoot them first, they can't run away. Secondly, it's absolutely devastating at close range. You don't need SBP ammo or stuff from airdrops/hideout crafting to make it work. The ammo is available for purchase at the traders so you won't have to worry about that.
Speaking of which, the panorama 1.5x optic, for some reason, reduces the amount of felt visual recoil on most guns. I've tested it on the gun without the barrel/suppressor attachment and using this particular optic alone, surprisingly helps in recoil management a lot. I also feel like this gun really shines with movement speed builds. If you look at the stats, Mk-14 EBR, which is classified as a sniper rifle, is outclassed by ASh-12 because of the DPS, rate of fire, as well as superior ammunition type. The only caveat being that EBR has more effective range, but I doubt you'll be using ASh-12 to serve the purpose of a DMR anyway. But I'd say compared to most guns, ASh-12 has more versatility. It's just quirky and you have to know how to use it. I would also recommend for you to get RSh-12. Both guns use the same ammo and they both smack hard at close range. RSh-12 having an effective range of 120 meters, which is impressive for a handgun. So you have access to two guns using the same ammunition type with some of the highest DPS outputs in the game. Apologies for the long-winded replies.

do you think the barrel is better than the suppressor for the recoil control?
