Crafting Deerslayer 2 Part 4 Sinew and Tiller

  • In this part I apply sinew to the limbs. The bow is 64” tip to tip but 18” of the bow is non bending, so each limb is approximately only 23”, thus the need for sinew. The bow is tillered at this point, so only finish work is left. I had to build a special stringer to string this bow. I’m thinking next part will have to do with stringing it. It’s very hard to string

    Bow looks good! I’m interested in how you joined the limbs together at the handle?

    quite a lot of mass near the tips, probably has a lot of hand shock ?

      I would think that as well, but it has very little hand shock. In fact I didn’t notice any. Did you watch the video of it being shot?
