I was waiting for someone to do a video like this! The wholesome teacher/student relationship between Lily and Slughorn told a lot about who Lily was as a student and as a person - that she genuinely loved and cared for people of all ages and backgrounds. Even possibly knowing that Slughorn was strange for "collecting" talented students, she saw the good in him which was the way that he never had bad intentions with anyone, and that he was a kind and generous person. The Slytherin Head was a nice man who just... sometimes felt lonely and liked to bring good students up the way maybe he might've wanted to be brought up as a student himself. She gave him a heartfelt and "handmade" gift that he never forgot. This video is so unique, artistic and beautiful and that's how I felt when I watched it.
