the thing is, is that i ABSOLUTELY love this specific fan cast, sophia as lily, adam as severus, aaron as james, ben as sirius, andrew as remus, dane as peter, alicia as marlene, katie as bellatrix, but my BIGGEST pet peeve is when people forget to include peter in the edits. yes, he betrayed them and no one likes him, but whether we like it or not, peter WAS a Marauder, and a big part of everyones lives.which is why i liked this edit so much, we get to see peter pettigrew and his struggles and his friendship. it was amazing
I actually really like young Peter the Peter who loved his friends despite him being not so brave as them he still stuck with them but don’t get me wrong I hate him after he betrayed them
The characters of James, Sirius, Lily, Remus and Peter deserved so much more. Both in their underused and poor movie world depictions but also in the tragic stories that each of them had. You have done each of them justice by creating this seamless piece of art that you should be mega proud of
yes, I totally agree .. by aging everyone up to their mid thirties (or older, Severus), the movies really failed to capture the heart-wrenching sadness that almost everyone died before their mid twenties . . !!!!
@@lynnm6413 Snape was a huge stretch, but only Alan Rickman could have done so well. It makes sense Remus, Sirius, and Peter look older due to their circumstances but Lily and James in photographs could have easily been younger actors while Harry would see them older in the mirror and forest.
I always thought about that, in the movies we don't really get why Remus and Sirius were that furious. But the more you learn about the marauders, the more Peter's betrayal hurts. They weren't just classmates or friends. The marauders were brothers, they were a family. And Peter's actions really hurt.

I completly understand how you feel. I think that the whole history of what led to everything that happend in the books (marauders era; Tom Riddle; first wizarding war with grindelwald; Voldemorts first uprising) is much more interesting. I'm not saying that I don't like the books or Harry as a character but I always loved the marauders more than Harry, even Marlene McKinnon who was barely even mentioned. I'm just saying that there is so much we don't know about the marauders and I would love to just hear more of their story, of how they met, the tricks they did and the friendships that were made.

Apart of me being torn between want it or not cause we know their tragic end. The title didn't lie. The part where Dumbledore was speaking to Peter was really what made me feel sympathy for him. This video was truly a pleasure to watch and it was brilliant in every way possible. The fact that you explored more into the Potter family and friends showed your dedication and I love you for that. When the last scene started fading to color, it was a moment of silence and contemplation on my behalf; a fading away goodbye from all the black and white we see. You're an artist of story telling, and this is your masterpiece. (As well as all your other videos).

The title is right. This did destroy me. I can’t describe in words how beautiful a few of these scenes were. The scene where lily is talking to serious about love and Sirius/Remus scene that followed ?? It just, I don’t know but it had such vulnerability. The scene where Lily asks who died? The scene where James goes down to his certain death always gets me. The scene where Sirius says, “Nice one, James!” And there’s an immediate scene cut to James hugging Sirius. The scene with Harry trying to reach out to his mom. And those shots of every time someone has described how Harry looks just like his father except his eyes. Just this entire video was so beautiful it literally tore my hart to a million pieces

Amazing! I love what this story does to people. It's been 22 years since it began, and there are still so many emotions.. I have watched this video so many times since you published it, I'm probably half of the views. It always renders me completely speechless and reduces me to tears. I really think this is the most tragic generation of the Harry Potter universe, with the most interesting characters and most heartbreaking stories. The fact that you included Harry's reflections, who was ultimately the beacon of hope and represented what his parents and their friends fought for, made this all the more moving. I know I may have said this already, but I am so grateful to you - and other talented video editors and fanfiction writers - who keep these characters alive (well...) by telling their stories, because they are powerful and impactful. They've certainly had a more of an impact on me than any other artwork or story I've ever come to contact with. Sorry to word-vomit this sappiness here, I just adore these characters so much and am invested in them more than my own life sometimes (most of the time actually...). This video is an absolutely stunning piece of art that JKR herself should see (and perhaps she'd understand that this is the story that should be told rather than the garbage that is Cursed Child and Fantastic beasts, but that's a long rant for another time).
I know a lot of people say this but I'm going to say it again because it just has to be said. It's AMAZING how you and so many other people are able to create such great videos about the Marauders when there isn't even a movie/book to go off of. You combine scenes from movies/shows and put them together to create MASTERPIECES. What's astonishing as well is that all of the scenes go so well together that it looks like it's actually from an existing movie. I almost like to think that it's fate, that these actors were meant to play these characters because it's too much of a coincidence that all the scenes fit so perfectly.

I have watched this video so many times since you published it, I'm probably half of the views. It always renders me completely speechless and reduces me to tears. I really think this is the most tragic generation of the Harry Potter universe, with the most interesting characters and most heartbreaking stories. The fact that you included Harry's reflections, who was ultimately the beacon of hope and represented what his parents and their friends fought for, made this all the more moving. I know I may have said this already, but I am so grateful to you - and other talented video editors and fanfiction writers - who keep these characters alive (well...) by telling their stories, because they are powerful and impactful. They've certainly had a more of an impact on me than any other artwork or story I've ever come to contact with. Sorry to word-vomit this sappiness here, I just adore these characters so much and am invested in them more than my own life sometimes (most of the time actually...). This video is an absolutely stunning piece of art that JKR herself should see (and perhaps she'd understand that this is the story that should be told rather than the garbage that is Cursed Child and Fantastic beasts, but that's a long rant for another time).

I know a lot of people say this but I'm going to say it again because it just has to be said. It's AMAZING how you and so many other people are able to create such great videos about the Marauders when there isn't even a movie/book to go off of. You combine scenes from movies/shows and put them together to create MASTERPIECES. What's astonishing as well is that all of the scenes go so well together that it looks like it's actually from an existing movie. I almost like to think that it's fate, that these actors were meant to play these characters because it's too much of a coincidence that all the scenes fit so perfectly.
I am literally... Speechless for this amazing masterpiece. When I finished to watch I just said wow, I was shaking and having chills. This video make my mind go crazy. It's absolutely a masterpiece, thank you for creating this!
