Wow. Thank you for finally getting this concept through to me. I mistakenly thought that by giving them chance after chance that I was loving like Jesus. I just couldn't comprehend how moving on was a good thing for their spiritual growth because as a helppmate, it is my job to help them become better versions of themself. I felt like I wasn't showing my faith in God and love if I moved on and didn't give them the space and opportunity to grow. It felt wrong not to nurture this person who I could see great things in them and for me to help bring that out of them. But I understand now how moving on is a good thing for me, and without Jesus's protection, that is how I fall prey to the Devil. And I think I am beginning to understand that helping isn't the same thing as saving. And that I cannot save, only Jesus can. I can only help and if they don't want my help then to move on because Jesus will direct me to someone who does appreciate my help. That Jesus will tell me, "Hey, you can help me here with this person. Hey, your testimony can help this person--but your testimony isn't going to save them it is only going to help."

Subscribed. Oh my goodness. I met this person when I was just starting to believe God was real but I knew nothing yet, didn’t even own a Bible yet. I just moved from out of state and knew no body. This person was sent by the enemy, said he was this experienced man of God and he wanted to lead me in my faith. He just about destroyed my life. We got pregnant after knowing each other 3 months. Co parenting is hell. He uses our child to try to get to me. I’ve recently had a huge transformation physically and in my faith. I have “surpassed” him in the faith a long time ago. He is sensing all the changes and I’ve been cutting off access to me and he’s furious. I will not let up. Fasting, praying, staying in my word every day. Praying for him and repenting and forgiving him every day so I don’t get stuck in the bondage of unforgiveness. This is more than just a battle this is a full out war going on in the spirit….and when you have kids involved oh my goodness….If I didn’t have a child with this person I would have blocked and disappeared from him years ago.

This is so true ! I made it so easy for them. Thankfully God gave me the courage to end my relationship. It was clear in the end he only wanted money despite me saying no multiple times. I knew I wasn’t really the only person he was talking to as well and it hurt to finally see that he didn’t care and was just happy that we were no longer together.
