Honestly Panera is not what it used to be. For the prices they charge for those sandwiches I would expect more filling and better quality. You are better off going to a local deli that you trust. You come out happy with a manwich, a drink , and maybe even a snack for later
I don’t know if it’s just the Panera’s I’ve been to. But they’ve always been overpriced, and bland af. It’s the only place I’ve ever even THOUGHT about asking for a refund for a meal lol. Never have and probably never will, but I heavily thought about it. I don’t understand the hype they have.
From someone who used to work at Panera, Panera without the workers discount is NOT worth it. The pick two used to be such a good deal and with their prices (and everyone else’s for that matter) rising, it just isn’t worth what is being given. The BLT was just sad for $6 for a half. The tomato bread is their best bread imo but to get two slices of bacon with thin tomato and greenery? No. You can get a bigger BLT at Corner Bakery. Hell, you can make your own better for that price
I love Panera but honestly, wth is up with their prices lately? Almost $9 for just those half sandwiches? They used to be my go-to because their portions were huge and one meal could be lunch and dinner for me at a great price. Now I’m just bewildered.
Every restaurant or fast food seems to have gone up drastically. Look at @Ashlovescondiments review of TacoBell’s new menu items. Seriously underwhelming for as much as they’re charging!
You’re seriously wondering? I closed down my restaurant because I wasn’t willing to kill my customers with up costs. Stop and think why? Groceries are up for you… imagine what restaurants are going through with food LOSS AND LABOR. If you’re complaining then you’re part of the problem. Go home and make a sandwich
@@JamieAshbyit’s true, but up the corporate pipeline they’re doing this on purpose to push small businesses out and destroy the middle class. Controlled inflation
Can’t lie, their green goddess sandwiches, the new club ones, are huge and delicious. I’m the biggest critic of their prices lately. But my God, those sandwiches, help me. However, I just cannot get on board with them raising their prices for their core. offerings. You know the soup sandwich, the mac & cheese/sandwich all that crap like why would those prices DOUBLE it makes NO sense. It’s friggin sandwiches and soup. My grandma used to eat there because they offered inexpensive and healthy offerings. That’s how I found out about them actually. I turned my mom onto them. Years ago. I understand that wages have gone up, and that costs of certain ingredients have gone up. Perhaps even everyone’s rent has gone up. Suck it up! We are all struggling. I have a business too if I keep raising my prices, people just don’t buy my shit. Sometimes you have to eat those costs and that is just part of doing business. Those core menu ingredients like flour, to make bread and pasta, Frozen veggies, bulk cheese, etc. are still the cheapest shit you can buy. If you are going to charge an arm and a leg for the latest items, at least keep the cost of your core menu down. I feel like Panera core audience is older people. At least that is what I have always known them to be. It infuriates me to think of them gouging grandmas and grandpas who were sucked into their old pricing. And don’t know that they are being bled dry now because it has been so insidious.
Honestly though. They’re thrusting to make up for the fact that they’re on their way out. Panera is about to be no more… nobody is willing to pay that much for some over priced hospital food with stingy portions
Honestly, the sandwiches that Ashley makes from her house… Look 10 times better than anything she showed today… Ashley should be on the board for Panera so she can teach them how to do it the right way! Also, the thumbnail should be the grimace right before the “watch your face”. That face is classic. Love you, Ashley!
Panera is getting rid of their bakers and going to reheated frozen bread at their stores now, all while increasing prices. None of those sandwiches looked like they were worth $9. I wasn’t a frequent Panera flyer before, but I definitely won’t be going out of my way for it anymore.
I use to love panera but I refuse to go there now as much as I would love to. They're very stingy with the meat on their sandwiches and that is very disappointing. The sandwich sizes also are very small for the price. They have good bread I prefer to pick up a loaf and go home to make 8-10 better sandwiches for the price of one of their half sandwiches. Sad because it was a better quality place to eat compared to drive thru's but I cannot justify paying so much and not get my moneys worth. I hate to feel ripped off.
I work at Panera as a catering coordinator but I agree, the prices are wild. I’ve been with Panera for 9 years now and it got wildly out of hand due to our old CEO trying to incorporate new menu items which meant the prices had to be hiked up. We have a new CEO that made this new menu and it’s the biggest change we’ve seen. Bare with us, he’s trying to consolidate and drop prices. But if I didn’t work there, I wouldn’t pay. Please do the survey from your receipt from Panera. The items you got do not look like Panera's commercial for their new line. False advertising for sure. Speaking about the tomatoes on the blt vs the commercial, teeny vs giant. Wow, I will say something else, isn't the bread for a blt toasted? I'll get my blt from the family owned deli down the road from the Panera in our area instead. 😊❤
