Create a PPV seems to be the best we can ask for as far as sandbox modes. I think GM or Universe mode would be asking too much from them unfortunately. Which is a shame. It’s 2023, we need more from our wrestling games and a sandbox mode of some type should be one of the basics.

A unlock everything option. Multiple playthroughs and certain conditions in order to unlock characters is not the wave in 2023. What you have to go through in order to unlock Brodie Lee is ridiculous.
Fixing AEW FF itself is a huge ask. TBH, at this point, the only way to "fix" it is to deliver an amazing sequel, if it is even a possibility to begin with.
Hey! Thanks for the comment. I agree that it’ll take a lot to fix the game. I think the biggest issue with a sequel is that AEW Games has lost so much goodwill because of how they’ve handled Fight Forever. I don’t think people would buy a sequel because of how burnt they may feel after this game.
@@WaggleFest I sadly completely agree with you. I really felt robbed when I first saw the match types and the number of wrestlers in the game. AEW: Fight Forever needs the Street Fighter II treatment, release a far superior updated version of the game next year. Call it AEW: Fight Forever+ or AEW: Fight Forever Deluxe or something like that.

More match types. Start with the ones already in the game in RTE since they should be able to do that quick. Handicap, gauntlet, etc. Then 3W/4W/Tag for the matches in the game and other simple additions like iron man, 2 out of 3 falls which again shouldn’t take long. Think we get that cage, coffin, and other gimmick matches will take more time. Have said about legends before as well too. So many legends with the company that they should take advantage of as well as getting the bigger names on the active roster added. CAW needs a lot more items and some things sorted out. Tattoos and lack of tights are especially annoying. Why aren’t all the in game characters outfits, tattoos, etc available to recolour for CAWS (you could do this in No Mercy over 20 years ago as well as totally customise in game characters). Hats, glasses, etc should be in entrance attire so you can decide if just for entrance or in ring too (no one wrestles in hats or glasses). Jackets should be available for in ring too as let’s say you create a manager, he’ll be wearing a suit for the entrance but then have no top at ringside. So stupid. They could even just make the street clothes an option since you waste the type choosing them then they realistically likely only get used for one run through RTE. Backstage areas, special guest referee matches, create a PPV and tournament option, would all be great too.
What’s up? Thanks for the thoughtful comment. I agree with the match types. They need to be expanded, especially since RTE has matches that aren’t in the main mode. Your idea about gimmick matches is 👌🏾. I never even considered how cool a coffin match could be. CAWs need to really be overhauled and I have a upcoming video that will discuss it a bit more. The game just needs to be updated to a 2.0 version. These incremental updates aren’t doing much and the game is still severely buggy. Again, thank you for the insightful & thoughtful comment. The biggest problem with FF is that it's just really boring and bare-bones. Nothing that makes me want to come back and play it. I played for the first week and gave up after that. I don't plan on ever buying a Yukes/THQ wrestling game again.
Hey! Thanks for the comment. You bring up a great point. A lot of gamers feel burnt by Fight Forever, and I think AEW Games, THQ, and Yukes are losing a lot of credibility. It'll be very hard for them to get ppl excited about another wrestling game, let alone sell one.
I haven’t gotten the game because it doesn’t seem worth the price point even if it was on sale. The game just seems to be really bare and really lacking a lot of the standard match types. How the heck can we not do a tornado tag match or tag team ladder match. It being like WWF No Mercy doesn’t really do it for me because that doesn’t hit my nostalgia. Gameplay does seem fun atleast but from other criticisms it’s outdated with not being able to see a prompt for reversals or have another option other than button mashing for kicking out plus you have no idea how close you are to kicking out, other games had a little meter which showed you how close you are to kicking out. The Road to Elite is super bare bones and isn’t explained properly like how was anyone suppose to know you are suppose to play it multiple times and different outcomes gives you different paths. Plus a lot of the options for things to do are just not necessarily, why do I care about going to eat and getting facts about food. The creation suite is one of my biggest complaints. It’s so bare bones, that’s what gives games longevity with having a good creation suite and community sharing those creations with others. I actually believe the roster is really good for a base roster what kills it is how they handled the DLC. Why only 2 wrestlers and a handful of mini games priced the same as 2k’s DLC which gives you multiple wrestlers to pick from. Some free/paided DLC for those missing teams like The Acclaimed, Private Party, The Gunns, House of Black. Since we don’t know if we are getting another AEW game why not include some free DLC for new outfits for recent gimmicks like Heel Luchasaurs or Turtleneck Christian. My last thing is just flat out communication. We don’t really hear news on when DLC is coming out or updates are coming out until they are bascially about to happen. Keep the hype going for the game we knew what the 3 DLC packs were gonna have but we had no idea when they were coming out or if we will have any future DLC. Talk to the community on when any updates are gonna happen or any set backs it makes the community just really believe the game is dead. I might pick up the game eventually I’m not gonna lie but only because it’s gonna be on sale (it shouldn’t have cost $60 to begin with) and because it’s a chance to official play as certain characters outside of Fire Pro Wrestling or 2K CAWs
Hey, thank you for the thoughtful comment. I genuinely appreciate it. You're absolutely correct--the game is bare bones. It's bewildering how features like tornado tag matches are missing. None of the missing game modes and features make any sense whatsoever considering Yukes' pedigree. They've developed too many incredible wrestling games over the last 20 years for them to give us this. A part of me thinks, that's the root of the playerbase frustration. Everyone understands that it could and SHOULD have been more. The gameplay is fun and there's cool attention to detail in parts of the game, but ultimately it's missing "that thing" that will keep you coming back. The online is broken, the creation suite is severely limited, and you can't even create a show. It's really disappointing. Thanks again for the comment.
The game is definitely dead. You could bare find a match online & the only match you actually find is 1 on 1.. the creation suite has to be the worst ever. Games like HCTP which came out 20 years ago has a better creation suite. There’s only 7 match types to pick from. How the hell do you only put 7 match types in a wrestling game, that’s literally as important as gameplay. Stadium stampede is a complete disconnect from the game. It doesn’t involve any type of wrestling at all & it’s filled will over 85% bots. This game is dead & it’s right next to 2k20
Hey! Thanks for the comment! I agree will lots of your points. I think that's the most frustrating part of all of this--Yukes has been making wrestling games for so long that it doesn't make sense that they would leave so much out. They MADE HCTP! I can't call it, but I hope we get some much needed updates.
Hey! Thanks for the comment. While another game might be in the cards, Fight Forever is a just a little over 2 months removed from release. So we wouldn’t see a sequel for at least a year. Plus there’s been so much bad press and damage done, I don’t know that the audience trusts them enough to spend money again. I think they’re walking a thin tightrope right now. Thanks again for the comment.
The game is fun, don't get me wrong. But like the majority of us are saying, it feels like this is a bare-bones version of a wrestling game. It definitely was a breath of fresh air when it came out but after about two weeks, the newness had worn out and I was back to playing 2K23.

To be honest I really think they need to make another game.
Thanks again for the comment.
this game is dead though I honestly don't know why he has a hard time believing it.
The game is fun, don't get me wrong. But like the majority of us are saying, it feels like this is a bare-bones version of a wrestling game. It definitely was a breath of fresh air when it came out but after about two weeks, the newness had worn out and I was back to playing 2K23.
I agree that there’s fun to be had. Somewhere under the hood is a great with tons of potential, but it’s missing alot of features and too buggy in its current state. Thanks for the comment.
@MrHartgrave you got a shout out.
Hahaha… I misread your comment. Yeah, def gave him a shout out.
