I don't understand how it can be said that a child being abused in a dysfunctional family is living from their authentic self. Aren't they mirroring dysfunctional behaviors, until they get actual help and get away from their abusers? Do you mean they are authentically acting out the dysfunctional patterns the family is displaying on a daily basis? It's good to see you, Petra. Thank you for sharing your perspectives.
That's not what I said, Wild Light. Everyone is born authentic. It's dysfunction, trauma and abuse which causes wounded children. When this happens, the wounded child develops coping mechanisms. What do you mean by "acting out"?
@@PetraVanDeijl I'm sorry I misunderstood what you said. It sounded like you were saying several contradictory things, but that could just be a form of neurolinguistics. I was suggesting that the wounded child often displays the family dysfunctions, when wounded. Being wounded, when abused, is an authentic display of what is happening internally and externally when one is being abused, be it a child or an adult. That's just how it's seemed to me, in relation to my life experiences and moving back to the home where I experienced child abuse, during covid.
