After a little gap, we finally get a Washing Machine...or in this case a Washer Dryer to test! And after so long...LOOK what finally came in! A Hotpoint-Ariston Aqualtis AQGMD149 Washer Dryer, for so long I've been saying "why has no one donated an Aqualtis yet?" And finally someone did! Now this is one from Italy as it's 'Hotpoint-Ariston' as opposed to Hotpoint only, but unfortunately for the worst...this had a blocked pump and this caused the machine to be unable to empty. With no suitable area to drain it in, neither bowls or anything, I was unable to empty the filter/sump.
I really wanted to bring this machine home, but I will find one again in better condition soon! Enjoy! :)
I remember seeing the advert for this machine thinking it was futuristic at the time. I thought it was one of Hotpoint's best models despite it being made by Indesit :)

Pretty much, although the one in the intro is an F1496AD5 in silver, whereas mine is an F1496AD in white

a friend of mine had one of these nearly ten years but was just a washer . such a shame it's an import and has to ensure scrapped .
They are very good, and lovely looking machines too, but I too was sad that this had to go. But, I'm certain another will surface!

FlorenceBallardA3060 same here! I was hoping mine when I got it was one you could see in and had a normal indesit drum instead of the horrible titanium drums!
That is such a shame, I dislike the tinted window models too

The same way I felt about the Tricity Bendix which replaced my WMA64 :(

Why did the not just put a uk plug on it?? 😂 there’s still an earth cable in the mains lead it’s just not used on the foreign plug :/

This is a great machine and it's a suprise that's it's an atalian model because I live in England liverpool
It is a lovely machine, well, it's probably someone who moved from Italy to England and brought it with them
This is familiar washer i have hotpoint ariston aqualtis 7kg 1000 rpm class A but she not washer dryer
Ah yes, your's is also an Italian model as it's only 1000rpm, I do like the Washer Dryer model

My grandparents haves one of these machine witch is 9 years old now
That's really lasted them, it's a lovely machine!
1400 rpm it has 7.5 kg they had and it still works lol
I wanted the first ever 1400rpm Aqualtis that came out, seeing this one knowing it was going to be scrapped was quite sad

They are not bad for a modern hotpoint
The original aqualtest are better

You can but, it wouldn't be approved of by their PAT Tester
