If anybody is wondering like me what guitar that was in the thumbnail. It’s a custom made guitar built by Stone Wolf Guitars called the AE sc 7. I know I was looking through the comments trying to find out and had a hard time figuring it out so I wanted to leave a comment to help anyone else who was also curious. I love anything explorer shaped!
So here's the thing. Stopped playing music about10 years ago. Was like cutting off my arm but was not forced to stop. Simply lost interest. Heard and saw it, played and gigged it a thousand times. But then came this. I have never been more inspired to jam in my life. This sort of music exchange is going to wake a sleeping giant. Don't stop!
When it comes to backing tracks, your channel is my favorite, because your songs always show the chords, scales and modes. Super helpful when soloing!!! Thank you for going the extra mile !
I was killing it with the Pentatonic scale then suddenly something just sounded phrygian... Steve vai mode activated HAHAHAHA! Amazing track as always.
I hit Pentatonic (+ tritone) for the "verse" and Aeolian for the "chorus". The switching can get really fun! Just to add to that - when it's switching back and forth, for "verse" I tap between 12-15-19 and 12-15-17, then for "chorus" I tap between 10-14-17 and 10-14-19. As a beginner, this is both fun and easy!
@@hyronvalkinson1749 The tritone I think on a minor pentatoic makes it into a blues scale - that's 'blue' note...makes a good passing tone but not one to stick around on.
@CuSn Yes -sort of, think of it more of WHERE the modal scale starts and finishes. Modes relate to the key... Bagpipes are a modal instrument as they have a fixed note drone, Keyboards are better for 'seeing' theory...imagine doing the same scale (G Maj) but do it from each note G, then A to A , B to B etc Now count the different black and white notes ...the Tone Semitone spacing of them..."see" the concept, then hear it.
@CuSn This chord progression works I think more with pentatonic and minor scales ..think Scorpoins ACDC UFO classic rock the right mode will fit in with the chord progression -someone will step in here and explain better...

Playing is so easy now- it's crazy. You can buy a damned good rig for peanuts. Go on RUclips and get free classes from some of the best guitarist playing, learn theory from great teachers like Rick Beato, and then even find backing tracks to jam along with. And any song you want to play, there's a detailed breakdown for it, usually multiple ppl have broken it down- and a backing track with the guitar zeroed out so you can jam along. LOL- If I had of had these kinds of resources when I was young and learning- I would be a monster by now. If you can get to where I have teaching yourself, playing by ear- with real instruction and more effort, you could've gotten 3, 4X further down the road than wherever you are.

A minor and D minor along with E are my regular go to keys.

The key signature and the scale for this is simply G major, E minor scale as the 6th. Great sound, awesome back tracking thanks
