my father's mate was no other than the great bloke big jim flemming !!! yes he taught me under his wing & taught me disipline in being a pilot !!! yes i did service last plane was the mirage 3 then discharged 1988 great times !!
I did 2 2 1/2 year tours at Butterworth in the 1950's and was there when the Australians first arrived at RAF Butterworth, In fact the very first day as I was a RAF cook and had the pleasure of serving those Airfield Construction Guys there first Pom Tucker ! LOL!! An old guy now of course but have some found memories of my Aussie Mates
@@rome6611When we gain independence.... We are only a small country with no technical capability.... Therefore we need Air Force support from other commonwealth countries which has better Air Force... Therefore Australia is chosen since nearby compare to the UK
It would be much appreciated if RMAF (formerly RAAF)Bworth base consider the hazard of the acute noise pollution created by aeroplanes flying just above the roofs of the residential areas of Mak Mandin .during their daily drills...especially the flats..which is also dangerous to the residents.We look forward that the aeroplanes will take a different route away from residential areas..as its been half a decade the residents seem to live in unpleasantness of the noise hazard ..depression due to the noise and also in fear of their lives.especially of the aged residents..Thank you.

No. 19 Squadron is the only RAAF Squadron left behind at RMAF Base Butterworth(the Former RAAF Base Butterworth) right?
