This piece is the one of the best things i've ever heard ever... I can't listen to it without shedding at least one tear

The interpretation of the central "choral" is especially great, I think. Listen to how those triplets play off, and crash into, the main melody.

Tempo much too fast I think, the score says "LENTO", it's the 1st thing you can see on it. But I like it anyway. For me it's the greatest nocturne and one of my favorite piano works ever. It's so insanely beautiful, deep, rich and perfect.

I'm curious about the A-flat at 4:14 that differs from the normal way that this is played. Was it a involuntary slip or was it your personal twist on that part ?

I prefer him more than no one, if you want to know. But i've listened to so much chopin for past 2 years that i tried to give a shot to some other, and i can say that beethoven is way ahead of his time as well in term of composition. He's not as great sounding then chopin, yet he's nice.

But you mentioned Beethoven, he may be great, but hes not even in the same league as Chopin, Chopin was WAY ahead of his time, Chopin's music was slightly modern, had an almost atonal sound to it. I admire Beethoven, but I hate people talking about Beethoven ALL THE TIME! Makes me sick...

Tiersen is fine but you cannot compare him with Chopin!

  • @despirithium

Because you think Tiersen is great ? funny.
Hear about Babadjanyan, Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, Chostakovitch and other, you'll see the meaning of Great :)
