And when i finally pressed that button.. it was so freaking cool, I loved the game , from beginning to end, it was full childhood excitement, Who agrees with me ? Thumbs up
This brings back so many memories. Playing this game with friends, standing in front of the couch because none of us wanted to sit down. Yelling at the top of our lungs from excitement, fear, surprise and joy. Jumping for the propeller mushroom, not sure if Bowser would hit me or not in mid air, the endless trying, frustration, and fun that was had on this single boss battle made this already excellent game worth it, and all the more funny that the likely hero, yellow toad, made it to the end.
I remember playing it with my cousins getting sooo close to beating the final boss and us all yelling "NOOOOOOO" and then an hour later we beat it and holy shit I haven't felt happiness like that since. Simple times man....

I agree with you. This Bowser battle was beyond epic. You had to think quickly where to stand before Giant Bowser threw a fireball at you, and then avoid it fast so it destroys the walls that blocks Mario's path. Although I am sure they could have made this level a bit harder.
This game is absolutely amazing. Almost put me in tears how far other game characters have been fucked up like Sonic the Hedgehog, however Mario remains the same with remakes of the great classic games. This is absolutely like the original, it follows the same style as Mario 3 with an epic boss fight at the end that pushes it to the top. CoD fans might call it lazy and just a cheap shot for money, but this is a really well-made platformer game. Nintendo is still awesome.
I watched this video around when it first came out and it inspired me to start playing these types of games. Now I waste my life more every day. Thanks, Hooper!

I cried when i started to hear the soundtrack of this boss on the lava part, it just starts to get more intense while that you have to dodge the bowser's fireballs and try to not fall in lava. Long times that i played this game a lot and pulled up all my forces to get this whole game erased. Unfortinately i don't have the CD of this game anymore, but i still have my Nintendo Wii, so i want to buy a new CD.
We just ran underneath Bowser- like we did in the original game- and thought, dude, it can't be that easy... We were right! Loved this boss battle though it would have been great to actually beat Bowser rather than just run from him. Oh well, still one of the best Mario games.

Hey 3d land owners go to world 1 castle you will see a flag by the goal at the end. It has a skull on it. After you complete the game, you get to go to world 9 if you jump on it. (must have golden level done, too) In world 9, there is a Bee Suit from Mario Galaxy. You can still have 5 stars on ur file without it, but it is not really complete. I contacted Nintendo about this, they said that is is true and I am the first to find it. Please try it it is cool :D
Imagine what Peach was thinking. Shaking, lava, explosions, and giant fireballs. Mario comes to save her THEN A GIANT BOWSER JUST COMES TO TRY TO MURDER THE HECK OUT OF THEM. I'm surprised Peach didn't need therapy after this game...
There's two answers for that: If Bowser is paying for someone to build the castles for him then I can only assume the builder has some strange sense of humor. If Bowser is the one building them... I leave that to your criteria.
Bowser's one hell of an architect. Do you think he does outside jobs? My house could use some lava and deadly traps for those pesky plumbers who overcharge maintenance to my bathroom.
I bought this game when she was 3, but she wasn't interested on it. when she was 5 she got into it. in 6 months she was very good at it. she beated for the first time when she was 5, I was the same way, I beated mario on ness when it first came out back on 1986.
You think after the first time Bowser would build a castle without a button that destroys the bridge he's on. Nope. Instead it made more sense to build another more larger button that destroys his castle.
