I have a message for the 101 people who thumbed down this video..you are either envious or totally dellusional because this the only right way to assemble this mechanism..My brother ,your video is excellent, and trust me i only watch your videos because you are a real good teacher..Unfortunately i had to learn all this by myself, too bad i did not see this video 5 years ago when i started working on my scooters, thank you so much
@@49ccscoot It is the truth my brother, why would as many as 101 idiots thumb your video down?,i have assembled and disasembled that kick start mechanism countless times, and the way you did it on the video its the only way,it does not get to be more perfect than that, you could be keeping it all to yourself and yet you share with accuracy and wisdom all you know and on top of that, freeeee, totally free. and so many unthankful brainless zombies start targeting your channel, that pisses me off..I know these gy6's from A to Z and i watch your videos because i had to learn by myself and i do enjoy them a lot..Thanks a million and honestly, this world makes no sense to me when i see these unfair things, have a good one
Life saver, I took my cover off and most of the components fell out, tried to put it all back, not good 😕 what a brilliantly clear and easy to follow video. Thanks a lot mate
I thought I was finished doing belt and roller maintenance on my atv engine until trying to get the case cover back in position and the kick start gear got out of alignment. I knew that there had to be alignment marks to position. So I found your video. What a life saver....thanks.
Hello from England 👋 I have an 8yr old gy6 and had been fixing it up for winter riding till my kickstart broke (always good to have it working as a back up) and thanks to this helpful video it's all fixed and working! Thankyou man
Hello these days we were not aware of the science involved in assembling the kicker spring or the dimensions of placing kicker by your video I have been enlightened in arranging these things now I'm expert THANK YOU KEEP IT UP
You have helped me so much throughout the years. We love your videos and how they are so detailed in explaining how to fix or replace parts on a scoot. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with the community. May many Blessings be bestowed upon you.
Very undarstandingly simply spoken, well and visual detaled and practical, enough logical where any one can get it, super bravo for the oditor well done ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I know nothing about engines..of any kind..I don't even drive or ride a scooter!...But I found this most interesting..and well presented. At no point did I feel I couldn't follow these directions if I ever needed to.
Well thanks, sir you just got me out the poo took my bike to bits lost my way with the kick start mechanism you saved me is you sent by God lol lol lol from the Mad mechanic from over the pond in England your a star cheers top man
All I got to say thank you I'll came home and I took it apart like you had it on the video and I put everything back together clean everything and what happened is the one gear was off a little bit like pushed out so if that I put everything back together nice and the spring correct I try to kick started the pefal up real fast now so thank you you're the man if it wasn't for you I'd be stuck with my 50 and my 150cc
great work my kickstarter was loose and not working thanks to you its working now. If battery ever fails its good to have kickstarter working so I wont be stranded.
man i got not idea what are you say because i don't know english laguage, but, your video is really help me, so, thankyou very much for your video ( i was need google traslator for write this commentary xD)
So thankful for this video! Such clarity and visuals for getting this together correctly! You are a very good instructor! Thank you! Now I will search for more videos on GY6 scooters that you may have done and increase my knowledge!
Hi. I think your video is very good and I understand you better than in other videos, including Spanish-language ones. congratulations, you have a new follower. greetings from Mexico City.
Brillant hannel so so happy I found it as tuning goes there a lot better than your average stick on a BB kit and your scooter will do 75mph bull but tecnically informative too. Thanks
Installed it all ok. When I put the cover back on the kickstart just about works for one go. Then it seems to go out of alignment and is very stiff/impossible to engage.
Yes think so. Before the kickstart broke I was giving it a real battering when I was starting up. I'm thinking now, that may have damaged it (beyond repair)? Next thought is to repair the electric button start...
Great. Saved me trouble trying to see the instructions on the manual. Just pictures. If you have suggestions on how to fabricate a drive face puller, I would be honoured.
Just to let you know, awesome video, however I made a tool.to.make it possible to change the spring without dissasbling anything evcet the spring retsiner, its simply a piece of pipe 1 and 1/4 inch and has a slanted slot about 5/16 deep, works great, will do a video soon, keep up the awesome work!a
Good video. Didn’t need to watch the whole thing but you did such a good job explaining I did want to miss any good info. I’m working on a 83 Aero 80, pretty much the same set up.
I like this video wish I would seen this before I start to fix the 150cc scooter I just gotthe kick starter is not working so I took it apart and im trying to fix it im going to try it again tomorrow now seen I see how it work thanks you for all your help with my scooterthe 50cc 4 stroke I got I have to my sister and you husband we are going to fix it up this winner I hope to have my 150cc on the road so I can say this what a different 49cc 2 stroke to a 150cc I like 150 it keep pulling at 50 MHP and my 2 stroke is about top out there keep up all the grate videos thanks again for your help us all
The GY6 bushings tends to break and all bushings must be inspected for hairline cracks before installing it again. I have my scooter with this problem and replacing them with new ones will make them operating smooth again. This is very useful when your battery is dead since the scooter cannot be pushed start.
The beauty of petrol-scooters and pretty generic GY6 is some models have both kick-start and electric-start AND push-start = which makes using a battery-powered screwdriver or drill with socket, a possibility. Anything that have a pull-cord can have all three modes of starting by copying the concept and buying the parts and slapping it on with a slight additional welded nut for the electric-drill(with socket, optional clutched-torque settings) That will include old-cars. To add an assistive electric motor which is also regenerative and call ot a hybrid will be a bit more work on the timing-belt to crank-shaft portion. Nut-case is a double-edged joke.

Great. Saved me trouble trying to see the instructions on the manual. Just pictures.
If you have suggestions on how to fabricate a drive face puller, I would be honoured.
You shouldn't need a puller for any of the drive faces (pulleys) in this CVT.
