Koraidon and Miraidon or whatever they are called should have been the only legendaries and then all those iron this iron that was kind of cool but they needed to tone it down like a lot, like maybe 1 or 2 would have been nice, maybe to revive Pokemon that weren’t really getting used and they could’ve had it so you make them into their iron versions and they get some sort of stat boost giving them some sort of meta potential and another use for dead Pokemon no one uses
For me Mythical Pokemon are the ones ONLY Aviable throu Events and Codes in theyre Debut Games or if they are Obtainable from Spin Offs So yes Darkrai is Aviable in Legends Arceus (That is a Spin Off) but in Diamond and Perl it was a Event PKM and there is Manaphy whoose Egg you only can Trade from the Spinn Off Game Pokemon Rangers (I Believe). There is the Argument that Deoxys was Obtainable in ORAS but ORAS is a Gen 6 Game and also the Delta Episode Featuring Deoxys was a Expansion of the Game just as Team Rainbow Rocket was so in a Way that is also a Event which makes the ORAS Deoxys a Event Pokemon
You are correct, with Deoxys though, it's based on its first appearance, like you said with Darkrai. Deoxys first debuted in Emerald, where it was only available through an event. ORAS made it available in the base game, but it was originally an event Pokemon.
@@adoramay9410this is also how VGC decides what's legal. The rest like zapdos, suicune, regice, heatran, regigigas etc are legendary in lore but considered regular pokemon overall.
That’s pretty much my definition. The mythical Pokemon were simply ones not in the game and had to be unlocked by an official event outside the game itself. Or at least they were when initially released even if they became available by other means years later.
They are able to be farmed and you can catch them multiple times are not related to the lore, but the aspect of getting good IVs mon for competitive play, which is a separate aspect of the game. Also simply in order to distribute legendaries in previous games without the developer needing to create a storyline
I always thought that Legendary Pokemon were just Pokemon who had were just Pokémon who had great stories or did something God-like/Legendary; The same goes for mythicals but those are more like creepypastas, but more rare (because they are myths); Where like they could be real, but they have even been rarely seen or not seen at all, If that makes sense 😅😅😅
Legendary Pokémon are labeled by Pokémon but some requirements could be a base stat of 600 or above being rare to find and to only be obtained maybe mid to end game also some legendary Pokémon have signature moves but some don’t have them anymore
@@sergiomartinezvillar9795no you just don't know as much as you think you do, the legendaries have legends about them. They are known. It is a fact to everyone that they exist. They've been seen, or caught, or hunted, or effected the world in front of people. Legendary. A mythical is a myth. A rumor. It is not confirmed. The people can only wonder and tell stories but they are fictional stories as far as they know. That's what a myth is.
@@Velvet-Of-Erion I have a different opinion. Mythicals are the extremely rare pokemons who are on the border of crossing the normal threshold and enter the legendaries. But unlike legendaries, there can be multiple mythicals in the same verse
@user-lp6xn6jl8w it's not an opinion. It's what the words mean lol. And you're wrong again, there are multiple legendaries. Latios and latias are a whole species. There are swarms of them. There are also more than one Rayquaza, and more groudons, Regis, and even 2 mewtwos.
Don't overthink it, just ignore that "mythic" word and stuff and call them all Legendaries, as we should. Then it stops being confusing. You're welcome.
I tend to see legendary pokemon as the big pokemon with some form of story or lore significance for example the shrine pokemon are all instruments/tools of ruin shown by their shared signature ruination zamazenta and zacian are the shield and sword that save galar from eternatus zygarde keeps the order of the pokemon world
I agree with the point of having too many legends. I also agree that pseudo legends are running rampant just as much. But I like to think that having an evolving legendary or an alternate version is a bad thing game wise since it's their attempt on adding something unique but I swear I'm starting to lag behind with all these new forms. Don't get me started on the regional/seasonal variants and color
It lived in a riparian habitat, and its diet probably consisted of soft plants, such as ferns, horsetails, and angiosperms. It is one of the most common fossil vertebrates found in the area, and shared its habitat with other dinosaurian megaherbivores, as well as large theropods and crocodylomorphs.
They have more historical meaning like per universe I'm pretty sure. And then mythical are just magical in some regard right like highly conscious or connected to elements/phenomena
@Manueltion15 I would just like to think instead of taking pokemon from the past or future the machine is taking pokemon from other dimensions hence why they look so weird
Pseudo legendary is a title not really much of a real thing far as I know but legendary Pokémon are Pokémon that can’t really be found in the wild and are can only found during certain things which would probably make Spiritomb a legendary but it doesn’t.
Actually you can think of legendaries as a mythological creature that can heavily influence the plot by just existing, and mythicals are like legendaries but they are a secret in the lore that expand it further but is way harder to achieve.
Its kinda like armor types in mmos. Grey, white, green, blue, purple, orange. At first just getting a full set of blue was amazing and a few purples was even better! Now your guaranteed a full set of purple at max level pretty much and at least 1 or 2 oranges.. lol
They are legendaries. Gamefreak said they are legendaries and that is only thing that matter. The only real features that all legendaries share is that all are rare and powerful, and that is true since gen 1.
Sinnoh has between 9 and 13.5 (phione being the .5) legends depending on if you include mythical pokemon. This take of “legendaries are too common” is just a lie. Kalos had 3 or 6 (again mythicals). There’s no rule of what the number has to be or how many is too many. Plus you can only catch one of each in dynamax adventures, so no you cannot farm them unless you restart your game (like every other game before it)
It's a legendary is you can only catch one per save. So Paradox Pokémon are not legendaries but imo, the paradox forms of the legendary dogs and sword trio are legendaries since you can only get one. While you can battle legendaries multiple times, you can only catch them once. Mythicals are distributed throug special events or gifts(like Mew and Jirachi in BDSP). But that kinda flew out the window with PLA since you can catch 3 mythicals through quests. But it's not a mainline Pokémon game so maybe it doesn't count.
Fyi the difference between mythical legendaries is that legendaries can be caught in base game/dlc while mythical require doing something extra irl to get them.
The funny thing is Scarlet and Violet actually introduced fewer new legendaries than Sword and Shield did if you count the Galarian forms of the legendary birds, and even if you don't Scarlet and Violet are only ahead by one legendary.
Pokémon peaked in Gen 5, since then it’s just been slowly going downhill. We hit rock bottom at S&S and since they’ve just been desperately clawing to get back up.
i always assumed that legendary pokemon had that status because there was some incredible story about how they came into being, have a unique role in the universe like dialga/palkia etc, or just overall stories of this one of a kind and mysterious pokemon being incredibly strong doing good/bad things behind the scene. i feel like overtime that status as a legendary (and or mythical) pokemon has the same standing as that of being called a pokemon trainer, they way new legendaries have been pumped out with little to no thought behind who they are and what makes them a legendary pokemon other than their stats and only being one is like having an apple and calling it an orange
The only two features that all legendaries share are being rare and powerful and that is true since gen 1. Also you are downplaying the legendaries of gen 9. The treasures of ruin are four children of evil which could destroy a kingdom. The paradox duo are the apex predator of an ecosystem full of beasts that can destroy the ecosystem of an entire region. The loyal three are empowered by a mithical pokemon who can control minds. Ogerpon is empowered by masks with cristals of the terastal phenomenon, and could kill the loyal three (and almost it's leader). Terapagos powers could create phenomenon that affect two regions and warp space time. Also destroyed a master ball after being caught.
You know what, I totally agree with you. Now a days it just seems like pokemon is struggling to even stay in the market and just sending in pokemons without even thinking. Until the 7th gen pokemons, i really loved all of them. But now it seems its just new mechanics and legendaries all over! #disappointed
Being powerful is just one of those things about being a legendary Pokémon, but a huge one is that they have such a large impact on their region, physically and culturally.

You can only get one of each legendary from dynamax adventures. You can keep catching it to shiny hunt it, but once you pick to keep it, that's that. You can keep fighting it, but you won't get to catch it again. If you want more, you need another save file.
I don't consider dynamax raids canon. I don't care what anyone says I refuse to believe that it's anything more than a game mechanic.
I think kubfu made sense, but would’ve been better as a pseudo legendary, and i hate all the new legendaries because they just smashed bits of other legendary Pokemon into one and called them the legendaries of Gen 9 and even gave them insane stats so people would use them.. the legendaries now just look like fossil pokemon to me.
You forgot that cosmog was introduced before kubfu 😔👈
Got there before me
@@Mimidrew11 dang
And Type Null before Cosmog (?).
@@AndersonMallony-EricCF nah same generation
@@henkiestudios5117 No way?! Thats a shocking revelation! 😱
For me Mythical Pokemon are the ones ONLY Aviable throu Events and Codes in theyre Debut Games or if they are Obtainable from Spin Offs
So yes Darkrai is Aviable in Legends Arceus (That is a Spin Off) but in Diamond and Perl it was a Event PKM and there is Manaphy whoose Egg you only can Trade from the Spinn Off Game Pokemon Rangers (I Believe).
Restricted pokemon are generally legendary pokemon with massive stats like groudon, mewtwo, lugia etc.
Mythical are banned and are all originally event exclusive pokemon such as mew, celebi, jirachi, that have 600 bst.
If you catch a dynamax adventure legend, it flees after every consecutive d.a.
They are able to be farmed and you can catch them multiple times are not related to the lore, but the aspect of getting good IVs mon for competitive play, which is a separate aspect of the game. Also simply in order to distribute legendaries in previous games without the developer needing to create a storyline
Chat, am I cooked for Terapagos being my favorite Pokémon?
I always thought that Legendary Pokemon were just Pokemon who had were just Pokémon who had great stories or did something God-like/Legendary; The same goes for mythicals but those are more like creepypastas, but more rare (because they are myths); Where like they could be real, but they have even been rarely seen or not seen at all, If that makes sense 😅😅😅
They gotta keep up with children’s fried dopamine receptors nowadays
When some legendary even have shiny version... That's the insane part...
All Legendaries have shinies, and it's in the later generations that they've started to limit these shinies' availability.
For me Pokémon exists until gen 7
ain't no shot bro just called raging bolt "roaring thunder"
I thought there were only 2 in scarlet violet added since the 4 for that side quest were mythical however I don’t have the DLC so…
Legendary Pokémon are labeled by Pokémon but some requirements could be a base stat of 600 or above being rare to find and to only be obtained maybe mid to end game also some legendary Pokémon have signature moves but some don’t have them anymore
Being rare and powerful are the only two features that are common to all legendaries.
Past generation has some chad legendaries 🗿
I love it when my RAGING BOLT is an electric giraffe
He's also a Brontosaurus, which means "Thunder Lizard"
Rules for being a legendary pokemon
1. Are they good
2. Do they have a story of some sorts behind it
3.are they marketable
The first two are optional.
Now serious, there are only two things that all legendaries have:
1. Are rare.
2. Are powerfull.
@@Velvet-Of-Erion Moltres, Zapdos and Articuno.
Just remember at the end of the day you’re still buying a piece of cardboard with writing on it
head canon is that the extra legendary pokemon farmed come from parallel universes.
For the fantasy pokemon on their site all paradoxes were categorized as legendary
17:48 also for this idea. Would help EVERYWHERE in the U.S that has issues with roadwork. Florida and Texas I’m looking at you.
“So they can use them o sell toys, but hey, that’s just a theory.a GAME theory!
Legendary Pokemon and all the rest, are just cool ass Pokemon, that's all we need to lnow
Don't overthink it, just ignore that "mythic" word and stuff and call them all Legendaries, as we should. Then it stops being confusing. You're welcome.
This complaint is stupid. Just enjoy the games. Try to enjoy yourself playing through a new game and getting new pokemon. Like damn how hard is that
My personal head canon is that legendary Pokémon…typically anyway…have some sort of well known legend attached to them
I tend to see legendary pokemon as the big pokemon with some form of story or lore significance for example the shrine pokemon are all instruments/tools of ruin shown by their shared signature ruination zamazenta and zacian are the shield and sword that save galar from eternatus zygarde keeps the order of the pokemon world
I agree with the point of having too many legends.
Its been like that for years now, this is not something new
It is at the point where you actually have to look at the lore to tell if something is a legendary or not now
You know what they say....if every pokémon is legendary...
Iirc, the max adventures still couldn’t be farmed - you could do multiple of a legendary, but you could only catch one of that legend
Darkrai is the only dark legendary up to this day which makes darkrai unique
What about yveltal
@@k-BlazeWuthringwaves30 1. Darkrai is a Mythical, not a Legendary
2. Yveltal is Dark/Flying
We will not accept the nebby hate
They have more historical meaning like per universe I'm pretty sure. And then mythical are just magical in some regard right like highly conscious or connected to elements/phenomena
Fr especially with terapagos. I feel like they just added glitter to a turtle and labeled it as legendary.
That turtle destroyed a master ball, and was already caught.
I don’t believe in Paradox Pokémons
A past form of Raikou just doesn’t make sense
Tbh the whole thing is that they’re not real pokémon, they were kinda just conjured up by the “time machine”
@@nickboon1235 well I didn’t really pay attention to that part of Scarlet and Violets story, so that’s why I was confused
@Manueltion15 I would just like to think instead of taking pokemon from the past or future the machine is taking pokemon from other dimensions hence why they look so weird
@@nathanielpuente8682 that makes more sense. Also Gen 6 and 7 basically confirmed that other universes/dimensions exist so that makes sense
none of the legendary beast's paradox form or any future paradox form makes sense. that's not the point
Pseudo legendary is a title not really much of a real thing far as I know but legendary Pokémon are Pokémon that can’t really be found in the wild and are can only found during certain things which would probably make Spiritomb a legendary but it doesn’t.
Roaring Thunder is a much better name than Raging Bolt.
I don't think Raging Bolt sounds appropriate for kids
"its like a super Saiyan bargain sale!" - Vegeta.
Actually you can think of legendaries as a mythological creature that can heavily influence the plot by just existing, and mythicals are like legendaries but they are a secret in the lore that expand it further but is way harder to achieve.
Yep, Urshifu existence really shatters the reality, a bear who can learn Kung fu and its a legendary XD
You can only catch one of each Pokémon in Dynamax raids. The rematches are just to farm items.
Roaring thunder is just an imitation of the tallneck in horizon zero dawn.
Hmm yes roaring thunder
Roaring Thunder goes hard
"Roaring Thunder" is acually called "Raging Bolt"
I really hate what Pokémon has become. 😔
Raging bolt not roaring thunder😂😂😂😂
Its kinda like armor types in mmos.
Grey, white, green, blue, purple, orange.
At first just getting a full set of blue was amazing and a few purples was even better!
Now your guaranteed a full set of purple at max level pretty much and at least 1 or 2 oranges.. lol
Mewtwo thinks he is in a gojo Vs sukuna edit💀💀
11 new legendaries in one game? I haven’t played any game since the original sun and moon and I’m ngl I wasn’t even aware of that😂
And also 1 mythical
Sadly we only got 9 legendary Pokémon, Koriadon and Miriadon are just past and future versions of cyclizar, not legends
They are legendaries. Gamefreak said they are legendaries and that is only thing that matter.
The only real features that all legendaries share is that all are rare and powerful, and that is true since gen 1.
Remember Cosmog was the first Legendary Pokémon with the capability of evolution
Sinnoh has between 9 and 13.5 (phione being the .5) legends depending on if you include mythical pokemon. This take of “legendaries are too common” is just a lie. Kalos had 3 or 6 (again mythicals). There’s no rule of what the number has to be or how many is too many. Plus you can only catch one of each in dynamax adventures, so no you cannot farm them unless you restart your game (like every other game before it)
Technically 17 legendarys lol
It's a legendary is you can only catch one per save. So Paradox Pokémon are not legendaries but imo, the paradox forms of the legendary dogs and sword trio are legendaries since you can only get one. While you can battle legendaries multiple times, you can only catch them once.
Mythicals are distributed throug special events or gifts(like Mew and Jirachi in BDSP). But that kinda flew out the window with PLA since you can catch 3 mythicals through quests. But it's not a mainline Pokémon game so maybe it doesn't count.
Ah yes my favorite pokemon roaring thunder
i always though this for the majority of legendary pokemons like: a very rare pokemon species that one individual make a legend in some place
Fyi the difference between mythical legendaries is that legendaries can be caught in base game/dlc while mythical require doing something extra irl to get them.
everyone else when paradox raikou: raging bolt
Moopsten: roaring thunder
just thought id do this lol
It was a mediocre episode with an amazing reveal in end which saved the episode
Legendaries are hard-coded into the game and can be obtained offline. Mythicals come from special events.
The funny thing is Scarlet and Violet actually introduced fewer new legendaries than Sword and Shield did if you count the Galarian forms of the legendary birds, and even if you don't Scarlet and Violet are only ahead by one legendary.
The first few Pokemon movies and their legendaries were fantastic ❤❤❤
Pokémon peaked in Gen 5, since then it’s just been slowly going downhill. We hit rock bottom at S&S and since they’ve just been desperately clawing to get back up.
It's all about base stats...
Same with pokemon cards. Used to be hard to get a shiny pull back in the day. Now every booster back has a shiny 😂
i always assumed that legendary pokemon had that status because there was some incredible story about how they came into being, have a unique role in the universe like dialga/palkia etc, or just overall stories of this one of a kind and mysterious pokemon being incredibly strong doing good/bad things behind the scene. i feel like overtime that status as a legendary (and or mythical) pokemon has the same standing as that of being called a pokemon trainer, they way new legendaries have been pumped out with little to no thought behind who they are and what makes them a legendary pokemon other than their stats and only being one is like having an apple and calling it an orange
Being powerful is just one of those things about being a legendary Pokémon, but a huge one is that they have such a large impact on their region, physically and culturally.
lol since when is Pokémon supposed to make sense lol
I've given up on Pokémon. Palworld was refreshing and I'm looking forward to some competition for Pokémon for them to get their sh*t together. Either that, or fall because they couldn't evolve.
"they can't evolve"
*Laughs in gen 4*
They can't until gen 7.
