I envy you, you live in the most beautiful country in the world..I live in the worst country. Greece. 365 days a year in summer and I hate it. I prefer snow and heavy winters to the hell I live in.. all winters we had 22-25 degrees
Nice to meet you, first of all Greece is not the "worst country" by far, i would say it is in the top 5 countries in Europe to explore. Yes, Greece has warm weather, but that's what makes it so popular all year round. Many Finns travel to Greece to get some much-needed sunshine. Maybe you could do the opposite and travel to Finland for snow.

Yes, i don't like the heat either, a summer with an average of 20 degrees Celsius is just perfect. Many people travel to southern countries in winter to take a "break" from the cold here.

Is the culture in Finland understated and subdued? Always very classy. My Christmas lights outside are changing color and flashing. Not subtle. That thin line just before garish. Keep up the great work.
Compared to countries like France, USA, Germany, Great Britain, etc.., Finland chooses the path of simplicity and cost-effectiveness, there is no need to exaggerate, i hope that makes some sense, or in other words, in Finland life is more natural as it is, sticking to the basics. Summers are short, but quite warm. At the moment it would be great to have an Air conditioner, but there aren't many in Finland, at least it's not very common. 🌞🌶
I think i understand what you mean, compared to countries like the US, Japan and Western European countries. In the Nordic countries and Finland, festivities are kept to a minimum, so that it remains nostalgic, so to speak, without exaggerations. Nature itself (snow) is the magic
