- UPDATE: Toei copyright struck my latest Sailor Moon video. I use this channel for fun and archiving my time with Destiny. It's amazing how a handful of minds on earth can imagine this stuff up for entertainment. Anime really impress me. There is nothing like it.
I like how the older Rhapsody has her playing the harp. Yes, the water coming out of her hands is a nice effect, but the harp playing is better.

Team Eternal. I love the colors, I love the way she plays the harp and then sends out the blast of water and of course the transformation. Finally did it right
Anime still wins for me. The fluidity, simplicity, smooth transitions, the music -- its perfect!! Although I like the ripple effects they added on her new transformation.
the transformation of eternal is better, but the attack of 90s is totally the best
Eternal, no question, doubt or anything, All Ami (Mercury) was spiced up via the detail, effects transitions, and particle effects. The added touch of Mercury using a harp (like a talisman) adds more to it
Such a good point: in manga they mention howHarp has its own will. It definitely looks way more of a talisman - as it should - rather then here
Eternal wins for me. It shows more of her calm and shy personality. Compared to someone like Jupiter’s which is as fast as lightning, hers is slow and calm like water. I like her 90’s one but it just got annoying seeing the same transformations for hundreds of episodes. At least they extended it for Crystal. It made them feel more like a team in that regard because they all got longer transformations and their own speeches. I think the 90’s did better in the character department but if they just gave them longer transformations and let them defeat their own enemies without Sailor Moon I would appreciate it more.
How I only wish the eternal version of transformation could add a little bit of ice/frost/mist effect to her transformation.. Because it's a part of her power.. But still Bravo!!
For mercury i prefer 90s style
I don't like how Eternal forced Mercury to go the Mars and Jupiter spinning route in her transformation, but that's only my opinion. I'm just used to only Mars and Jupiter doing their signature spins at the end of the transformations, showing off their outfit and everything.

The 90s is better than crystal ! It has beautiful drawing and more fluidity !
I wish they kept the style of SMC 1-2 but the transformation of season three. They were all so detailed and unique but now it’s a copy paste.
@@BriEntAnderson you made me laugh ! Really ! SMC was sooo ugly, nothing to do with the old sailor moon ! The drawing was sooo Bad ! It's a cheap production with stiff animation ! Go look for toei Philippine And you will understand !

@@BriEntAnderson the first 2 seasons had the worst style, it was not unique like Eternal! in season 1 and 2 everyone looked the same and they all had bug eyes, long thin legs and arms. and in season 3 they all looked like precure! the eternal movie is a nice mix of 90's and the manga

Do miss the transformation pen, but that was probably so they could use the same frame.
they don't use a transformation pen for Mercury Crystal Power in Eternal because she doesn't use a transformation pen/wand for that transformation in the manga she has her Sailor Crystal

I just hate how they every single chance to have these ladies looking like real fighters was unfortunately lost, after Cristal first arc. Comparing Mercury vs Zoisite fight to this 'cute but uneffective' Aqua Rhapsody leaves me sad 😓
I thought it was just me. A lot of their manga attacks either did absolutely nothing or little effect

Ami First Love, is the best Mercury transformation. And all should have gotten one like it in the Eternal movie.

エターナルは悪くはないんだけどテンポが悪いような気がして。見せたい場所がどこなんだろう？ってなります。
必殺技も水なんだけど水が軽いような…変身シーンも含めて色が重くテンポが良い90年代の方が好きです。

有澤さんは2005年にお亡くなりになってるからねぇ…。高梨さんは嫌いでは無いんだけど、やっぱり似たよった様な曲ばかりに感じる。でも後編は新しいテイスト(SFっぽい感じ？)が入った曲が増えて思いの外結構良かった。外部太陽系戦士覚醒なんか、ものすごくカッコよかった。
でも欲を言えば、個人的には高木洋さんに担当して欲しかった…。
