Your last comment on phase is so spot on! I couldn't figure out why my AC30 sounded so thin when I added the Pro Sonic. As you suggested, i added the Phase Inversion node in AUM ( the IOS digital mixer) i'm using on my iPhone, and it totally didnthe job!!! Wish i could send you a pic of my setup using the iPhone using dual ToneX as plugins. Blessings!❤
Thank you for this video!!! I've been looking for something like this for almost 2 weeks. most of the other videos are tone advertisements it seems. A well earned sub here!
Great video and tone!!! I'm really enjoying playing ToneX live at church. Thank you for your great video tutorials; people don't realize all the hard work that goes into editing and putting these videos together! God bless!😊
I downloaded the AC30 6TB capture from Tone Factor ❤ love it!!! Which capture are using live? I loved Klon capture and plan to use it live at church next time l play. Thanks so much for making this awesome video. I didn't realize I was overloading the input of Tonex so my headroom was so low and compressing too soon! What a difference it made to get it just right. And I'm not using the Tonex pedal but the Tonex plugin on my iPhone! When you measure the -9 that you aim at, is that total output including drives on?
Thank you for this video❤. I recently bought a new Tonex (big box) too, and this is my first ever pedal. I love your tone. And Could you please made your worship tone available for tonex capture via tone net🥺?
I totally agree about the captures sounding brighter live! They really do. I totally appreciate Tone Factor taking that into consideration because at home, they do sound darker but even though like you, I'm tempted to add treble, only to regret it on stage! Best thing i do, is rename the capture with LIVE at the end to distinguish these from the others used at home for jamming. If I do any teeaks live I overwrite the LIVE version and that is untouched again at home.❤❤❤❤ I've set my mids at 7.1 and left the Mid freq and Mid Q at stock. Bass I set to 120 and Bass level I left 5. Everything else stock too. These truly sound amazing! I highly recommend Tone Factor captured!❤
Ima tube amp guy forever n buying a Tonex soon. I use the stereo output of my ditto looper to power amp in on a slave amp. Outdoors live its HEAVEN ON EARTH. N makes for a MUCH livelier time with the band. 😎
Learning so much on what you did with your board . I like some advice from you , I’m moving from helix , and now I’m about to build my board using pedals and 2 tonex for the amps only , I like to know how you did your stereo chain a little more detailed , I’ll be using my onw compressor , drivers into the tonex (2 ) and using modulation and wet effects . Thanks !
Hey man that’s awesome! Yeah for stereo I start at my first stereo pedal which is modulation. So I go mono in to my zoia, then stereo out into my el cap then stereo out and in to my cloudburst then from the cloud burst the left out goes into one of the left ins on the Tonex, then the right out of the cloudburst goes into one of the left ins of the other Tonex. That keeps the chain in full stereo.
Thanks for making this video! Is the Goodwood Audio Longline a stereo line isolator or is it a DI? I looked it up on the Goodwood website, and judging by the ins and outs it looks like it is, but the product page doesn't specify on the DI vs Line Isolator part. Also having trouble finding them in stock. For the price, if it's a line isolator, I would definitely consider picking one up over the Walrus Canvas stereo
Hey man! They don’t specifically say it’s a line isolator but it is. It keeps your full signal without dropping any DB like a traditional DI box. Just know that it is powered so it will take up a slot on your power supply.
Just a thought do you still have a fractal FM9 - would be awesome to see a video using Tonex in front of your FM9 - I use it in front of my AXE III Turbo but not sure if I am using it to its full potential and grid tips for the FM9 on Axe-edit - I think I have a phase issue - I am only using 1 Tonex pedal - does that sound like an issue just using 1 Tonex pedal or I am imagining it :) thanks much
Using one Tonex pedal shouldn’t cause a phase issue if your running it mono, phase issues can occur if your summing stereo effects to mono or running two different Tonex pedals in stereo. I haven’t thought of trying that out but I’ll see what I can do.
Thanks Buddy its pretty cool to be able to change settings on the fly working with an AXE - I did change it to mono seems better - looking forward to an Axe Tonex combo video that would be amazing - nobody has done that on youtube
Also have you heard of source audio's LA Lady overdrive? I've read that it has midi + I think up to 6 switchable presets and can stack overdrives inside just one pedal
Does the ToneX pedal include a noise cancelling block/function ? Can it have a different setting/sensitivity depending on the amp I am choosing with the foot swtiches?
Hey, yes it has an adjustable noise gate, also yes it has something called the input trim which you can adjust to the sensitivity of different pickups.
It’s has some advantages such as being able to hold more presets and having onboard presence and with controls for easier on the fly adjustment. I think I’m personally going to switch to the new mini ones
Hey man, love your vids. Just watched your FM9 review and wondering how you compare Tonex + pedals to the FM9. Does one clearly beat the other in terms on sound/feel? or is it really just personal taste? Thanks man!
Hey man thanks for watching! I prefer the Tonex compared to the fractal I feel like the amps feel better and more realistic to me, the effects on the fractal though are just as good as the real pedals if not better when it comes to reverbs and delays. I may have just not found the right amp settings yet on the fractal but to me they all feel kinda stiff where the Tonex captures have more air and sag I feel like. Hope that helps! Both are the best in there field, fractal is hands down the best all in one modeling solution and the Tonex is the best capture device and solution for pedalboards in my opinion.
@carlosdavidnavarro7474 at least I saw a helix video where, the guy explained that you can run two single chains on the helix. So one would be right and the other the left channel. But I don't own a helix myself so I can't confirm.
This is what I’ve been looking for as I’m not familiar with modellers. Thank you!
Hey I’m happy to help! Thanks for watching!

Haha no problem!
Stereo Tonex is 💪🏻 on a worship rig. Great tones
Absolutely! Thanks for watching

It's perfectly normal. The louder you go, the more treble you'll hear. It's called the Fletcher-Munson curve, or something like that.

@@lightfootfx awesome ! Thx a lot for the info , I just noticed some typos , I’ll be using my line 6 hx stomp for my modulation and wet effects .
Does this pedal sound any good into a guitar amp with the cab knocked off?
Great bro! In love with your content ☺️
Thanks bro! Love the support!
Great job - subscribed
Thanks!
Have you thought of putting a TC MIMIQ Doubler pedal inm front of the Tonexs pedals. I do this and it sounds great.
I have actually! It did sound really good, I didn’t put it on the board in the end just to try and keep it somewhat lighter haha
0:00 I'm new to guitar. I want to learn this style of the music you played (post rock?). Can you recommend me the source I can learn by myself?

I have not, just looked it up that looks pretty sweet! I’ll have to get my hands on one at some point.
In your studio are you using the yamaha hs5 or hs7 monitors?
Those are hs7 monitors

Great stuff. Thanks!
Hey thanks for watching!
As somebody who has used the Tonex already. What would you say are the advantages of this pedal over that new Mini Tonex pedal?
It’s has some advantages such as being able to hold more presets and having onboard presence and with controls for easier on the fly adjustment. I think I’m personally going to switch to the new mini ones
@@lightfootfx I ordered one yesterday to try. I have done UA Dream/Ruby and actually went back to ACS1. It’s all in the IR you choose with the ACS1.
So you have stereo but do not run any effects on the tonex itself?
Correct, I am using the Tonex pedals as if I was plugging into 2 different amps.
@@lightfootfx AWESOME just awesome

How do you record your guitar?
I plug my pedalboard into my universal audio Apollo. I use some sort of DI in between to convert the board into balanced xlr.
Think you’ll get the new Tone X One?
Ha I already did! Been messing around with it and think I will replace these with it.
Prosonic sounds amazing
Thanks so much! I love that amp
@lightfootfx on the Prosonic are you using the edge of breakup capture?
What amp you use
Hey I’m using tone factor captures. The ac30 one one and the fender pro sonic on the other.

Combine two tonex pedals with a line 6 helix and you got the ultimate rig.
Right on! That would be pretty knarly I bet!
@calvin_bahadur is this possible? Because I have a headrush and a Tonex and would love to know if it’s possible to do this?

Two tonex for stereo!?
Nah.
One tonex and one sde-3000evh for wet/dry/wet. Checkmate.
