It's insane how this game makes BoTW look like a tech demo
it really does feel like botw was just the building block for this game but at the same time, botw is still so good in it’s own right
botw feels like the beta version of Minecraft or whatever that just has you fight zombies and totk is Minecraft now the stark difference still blows my mind

I think it's hilarious that I've noticed from the very first tear drop memory that you can find the tear drop by looking for the only tear drop shape that is solid in each geoglyph. So by the fourth glyph, I started playing the game of pause the video when he's above it to spot the solid tear, then see how long it takes you to find it yourself. Also I'm more hyped to play this game for myself, then I ever felt to play botw, now I'm just wishing I had the money to buy this game.
OMG! I just realized, the "ancient texts" Kotlin read were probably the same that Mineru was talking about, where the tears turn you into a dragon, that he wildy misinterpreted...

6:01:55 if anyone is confused what the difference is with this soldiers broadsword, the ones u normally pick up are old and rusted but this one is restored and that is what the star next to its name indicates, I’m pretty sure it also dose more damage

It’s crazy how big this map is compared to the botw.
Like I have a hard time not comparing but totk is literally just improvement upon improvement from the first game, it’s actually insane how much of a step up it is WHILE listening to fans. There’s been so many little features I’ve wanted since botw releases that they added or added in the UI in this game.

I had botw but never finished it bc i suck at games lol I'm loving watching PointCrow play bc he knows all the lore in and out plus he knows all the secrets since he played botw so much! its actually so entertaining and i cant wait to keep watching these!! ive been listening/watching these while i do finals this week and its honestly the only thing keeping me productive

Oh wow that's interesting. Yunobo said Zelda was an imposter and confident in it while he was talking with everybody back at the town after finishing the temple, and he was the last sage I got. But in your playthrough, he's still confused about Zelda and unsure on what to think, him being your 2nd sage you got. I wonder what other changes in dialogue form based on the order of sages obtained.

The Depths as a whole are literally a complete invert of Hyrule. Walls where rivers are, Zoanite mines where towns would be, and a Lynel where each stable would be.
The Lover’s Pond even has an invert with an island surrounded by water instead of a pond surrounded by land.

Personally speaking, I actually put a lot of thought into choosing to watch a playthrough, and then whose playthrough to watch. I'm not going to be able to get the game for a while, and I decided that because of how much there is to this game, and how I like to play, I didn't mind getting spoiled, especially since I already have a tendency to treat botw like a sandbox game. I have put hundreds of hours into botw, and I've never even bothered trying to beat it. Part of that is because I'm bad at combat, but most of that is because Link is my digital avatar for journeying across mountains like a little gremlin and hoarding everything he finds. I figured that if I was going to watch anybody's playthrough, it may as well be the guy who convinced me to get botw in the first place, especially since botw was my first try at buying and playing games that weren't pokemon. These days, I go months or even a year or two without buying the next pokemon release (most of the time, because my nostalgia demands remakes) because I can't be bothered when I have so many other games to play.

Watching eric literally skip half of the fire temple using rockets and not do any puzzle the way it was intended is actually so painful because the real solutions are so much better and more satisfying than just fusing a rocket to a shield

There has been a streamer (I forgot his name) that has already spedrun, and 100% completed it. It took a whopping 139 hours WITH being able to duplicate items. Imagine how much longer it would take to farm materials for things. This game is HUGE
I went through the same frustration with the French horn guy made me feel a little better that a pro had just as much trouble! 😂

@@NoviceElite I think it's because he doesn't want to spoil it for the rest of his viewers. He wants to give them a chance to stop and think about the lore for themselves if they haven't already played, and figure it out as they goes along with the story.
I can’t watch all 9 hours at once lol work does have to happen but I’m slowly watching the play through through the vods. I love watching all the tangents an play at normal speed. I beat the whole game and it never occurred to me to use recall on the falling rocks. I climbed the towers that needed you to get to the top of them like a damn fool.

Watching you try to fight the boss in this at the end was honestly absolutely excruciating dude. The pain I felt watching you miss the fact that even Yunobo was trying to tell you to send him at the legs was just oough. I'm 3 weeks late to this stream and as a VOD frog seeing the continuous struggle to figure stuff out during the boss when I realized because of the design what the goal/idea was. hhh
If it don't have legs you can whale on it before it gets back up and it won't throw you off till it gets them back. DX
That is annoying, but do bear in mind that “streamer brain” is a real thing. When you’re trying not just to play the game competently but also keep people entertained, you’re distracted and not operating at full mental capacity.
