But that thumbnail have me here salivating ouiii😍 You’re so versatile in the kitchen that I am left wowed by the simplest recipes every single time! Keep going Chris, we are all behind you 😁👍🏾
i am a caribbean woman myself, i love to cook!!!!! and honestly Chris is the bomb!!!!!! i love watching his videos i even try them out sometimes cause we all use different spices and cook differently so learning from others and how they add their spices is EVERYTHING! continue to be great Chris we love you!
Nice to hear. Pelau made with chicken or cubed beef is the quintessential Trinbagonian one pot meal. Put een the coconut milk, the pigeon peas (gungo peas) the pumpkin and carrots, the lil Maggi cube, the hot pepper (i leave this out) and u have a meal fit for a king. Serve with some Avocado slices, coleslaw or green salad and yuh business fix. Chris is a real sweet han Trini...Caribbean unity all the way.
Chris it's been a pleasure watching U Cook those lovely dishes, am also writing it down so i could give it a go.looks delicious thank U. Rib Pelau, i do this on Saturday please God Maggie C
Yo i took a pause out of my morning to watch this all the way through. I already know to make pelau but the ribs twist made me stop dead in my tracks. I have to try it. Spinach and all. Keep creating. I'll keep watching
This looks absolutely delicious. I'm going to pick some ribs up today. My fiance is going to eat the whole pan! Thank you Chris! Always love your recipes
Chris, have you ever tried blending garlic and ginger in a little oil? This garlic & ginger paste is an absolutely delicious seasoning to put in pelau, stews and curries.
AGAIN....you've blown this one out of the park😎😎. Pelau is already my all time favorite one pot and now you have gone and taken it to another level.... PURE NICENESS😋😋😋😋Well done👍👍
This looks wonderful! I cooked your famous Ultimate Caribbean Chicken Soup tonight and this recipe reminds me in some ways of your technique for making the chicken soup, only you add brown rice instead of vegetables. Thanks for sharing this.
I just picked up some rib on sale, right on time. Thank you and keep these ideas coming. Btw, yesterday I made your recepie of the bacalao with yuca, delicious.
Stunning as always, l wish l could eat it through the screen. I'm waiting on The Most High to send me a man who cooks🤣 Your recipes are amazing. My cooking abilities are not. Love your channel.
Good morning Chris, great idea to hide veges . Looks really delicious, some chutney or kutchela would be awesome on the side. Thanks again for sharing be safe.
Enjoyed your Palau receipe from Toronto of Guyanese background well my sister in law is a Trini so I had a taste of Trini cooking.Your cooking is surely healthy.who cares about KFC?
Andrea Gustinetti i will answer for Chris. Using molasses is not the traditional Trinbagonian way. The sugar must be browned to caramellization not burned. Molasses has a strong distinctive taste which most Trinis would not want in their Pelau but if u want to try it go right ahead. We use molasses for our local sweets especially "toolum" which is made with grated coconut and molasses.
I'm sorry but this video has an amazing dish that I can't wait to try, tap on the video for a simple dish and he pulling out all these seeesonningssss😆 got me mad AF!🥰
At first glance, when I looked at my email I thought it was chicken ribs. Cause you know sometimes is back and neck and other bony chicken pieces some of us put in d pelau when we stretching the chicken for more dishes. A chicken ribs pelau will be great I'm sure.
I think he meant "taking the piss." British or Aussie way of saying that someone is bullshitting or talking shit. Not sure why he said that, cause this looks great and I'm gonna make it tomorrow with beef short ribs!
Sorry, I did not intend to cause any confusion, all I meant was that I've never heard of this before. Perhaps it may turn out fine (o don't know) but it's a little Heston Blumenthal!

Such a great dish...What about some molasses instead of caramelized sugar?

I make hot sauces and marinades at home. Turning flavors with different sweeteners is under appreciated in my opinion! Good idea there!
