I challenge anyone to listen to Jerry Gaskill play the drums and find even one bar where he is not totally in the pocket. That guy is a beast on the kit
I’ve only seen them once, in Glasgow. I was basically between Ty’s monitors and the place was tiny. Third song in, Gerry hit the crash on his left and it split right up to the bell. Fantastic!!! 🤟🏻👌🏻
@@MGBOMAR Im a bass player. I was goofing around on my drummers kit and split his splash cymbal up to the bell. I wasn't allowed to go near his drum kit after that
@@TubeRJF, I was lead guitarist in my band and part of my gig was setting up and sound-checking our drummer’s kit (as he assembled the PA with our sound engineer). It was kind of a dream job really 🤟🏻
Doesn’t matter. They still are the most underrated band ever. I’ve seen them in their prime and they were amazing. They had something that no one had. Still love them. The voice is an instrument that has to be taken care of and not abused. Years of screaming and smoking kills your vocal chords. Sinatra voice blew out but Tony Bennett didn’t. Alcohol and smoking destroys it. Robert plant lost his long ago.
Strange, I think for a guy in his 70s!!! he’s in amazing shape. He pulls off an ace performance still imo, plus he still has fun and energy on stage, that’s what it’s all about I think :)

Challenge NOT accepted!
Jesus I defy anyone to say Groove Machine doesn’t have one of the heaviest riffflord moments in heavy music !! Holy fuck that is devastating !!!
Grabs you by the throat - great way to start the Tape Head album. Love it.
Dogman is heavy too even MAX CAVERLERA was impressed with it
It’s that 6 string bass… it just growls!
this was stolen from my band monsterdog i wasnt told till last year and i didnt even know
@@robertharding8394😂😂😂😂😂😂😂, sure it was bro !
Ty's tone is absolutely delicious!
So much powerfull ! Fan from the 90's, they still rocks !!
Love this!! Just saw them last night. Well shot, man!
I’ve probably seen them 20 times and NEVER heard them play World Around Me live!
God what a band.... Groove Monsters.
Most underrated band!
What’s their rating??
Thanks for sharing.
This is a Nice 1-2. Awesome!!!!!
I would've been losing my shit during "The World Around Me"... WOW!
Fuckin' Jerry and his Mop Hair. LOL LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sublime band 👍👍👍👍👍
God I want them to play this whole album from front to back as its very underrated (the self titled Album no.4)
full agreement, that album is among their top 3 for me
Love it too. This song is such a great one, too.
@@kingsxable probably #4 for me after Gretchen, Silent and Dogman it’s fantastic start to finish !!!!!
it's where it began for me. First song I heard was World around me and I fell down dead. Special album.
Thanks for this post of the boys. Badass musicians, killer songwriting, and ball crushing tone. Glad to see them out jamming again. Long live Kings-X!
Ear Candy indeed!
I want to have their babies!
I love this band but 75% of what they were
So pity Doug has totally lost his mighty voice..
He's 72 he's lost some speed on his fastball.
So what?
@@davedecker1725 "Some".. He has lost the ball, it's understandable and it's pity. He's old. 10 years younger Ty and Jerry are ok still.
@Evan Hodge Haha. I just said the truth. They have lowered the keys, and Dug's performance is older guy's performance. It's PITY but/and it's life.
