The 3 backing singers are being played in an audio delay / replay of milliseconds to produce the choir effect. The audio engineers producing Stan's content are world class.

No you can here Māori sing like this at a family gathering in any suburb in New Zealand. You will noticed the timbre of their voices changes as they sing in their own language. So proud of them all.

This was a popular song in NZ originally written and performed by the band Crowded House back in the late 80s early 90s.

It was also popular in AUS since they were a Australian band.
Founded by a kiwi and aussie
      Love it

Mmm... Crowded House were an "Australian band" founded by a Kiwi and an Aussie. Fair enough. However, since the Kiwi, Niel Finn, (ex NZ band Split Enz), was the primary driver behind the band. Plus lead guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. - He wrote this song. And at one point his brother, Tim was also in the band. Plus at times there were some British and American musos involved. Nevertheless, since the band originated from NZ and Aus. Wouldn't that make them an Aus /NZ band?

The LEVITES are actually the Musicians started by the Nansen Brothers (Jacob, Junior and Ross)
The Singers are a group called The Standard (Nate, Lilo and Ani)

I believe Stan’s neck tattoo is the Māori word for “beautiful,” and I believe that is the name of his daughter who passed away.

He’s singing in English and then a direct translation in Māori- that’s what we do in Aotearoa. Even our national anthem is always sung in English and then in te reo Māori. You’ll see that at the Olympics or at national sports games or major national days like Waitangi Day. It’s just us being bicultural. Even kids at school learn both versions.

The Lyrics they are singing in Te Reo Maori ( native NZ Language) are the same in English and Stan is amazing indeed from a Native Maori Myself, Stan Walker is a Proud Maori and loves to sing (Waiata) Maori Songs as it is part of our culture. and No pinky bling as its not Maori Culture (Taonga) to wear Bling.

Kia ora ( or should I have used Tena koe, please excuse my ignorance, I’ve only began to learn) from the hills of West Virginia, USA. I love the sound of te reo Maori and the culture of Aotearoa. I’ve been attempting to learn the basics of the language and history. Noho ora mai ra, na. Im not sure how to get the accent marks using this keyboard, hopefully it’s understandable though. No disrespect if it accidentally means something else that im unaware of.

Love your reactions and your content. would love to see you react to Stans older video "New Take Over" . The songs in English but Stan & his dancers are all dressed in traditional & contemporary Maori clothing. The video is very different to what you're used to seeing but I still think it is so cool to watch & a great message as always ♥ ruclips.net/video/YEpLa4KyFOo/видео.html
