  • Giuseppe "Peppino" Meazza (Italian pronunciation: [dʒuˈzɛppe meˈattsa]; 23 August 1910 - 21 August 1979), also known as il Balilla, was an Italian football manager and player.
Throughout his career, he played mainly for Inter Milan in the 1930s, scoring 242 goals in 365 games for the club, and winning three Serie A titles, as well as the Coppa Italia; he later also played for local rivals Milan, as well as Turin rivals Juventus, in addition to his spells with Varese and Atalanta.
At international level, he led Italy to win two consecutive World Cups: in 1934 on home soil, and in 1938 as captain; he was named to the All-star Team and won the Golden Ball Award at the 1934 World Cup, as the tournament's best player. Meazza is widely considered one of the greatest footballers of all time, as well as being regarded by many in the sport as Italy's greatest ever player.
Giuseppe Prisco and Gianni Brera considered him to be the greatest footballer of all time

The best way to being pronounced a dmbfck of all time is to watch the few of Meazza's remaining mediocre highlights and to proclaim him the most talented player of all time. I bet Italy is full of them.

You haven't done your research rude name caller look at the condition of the pitches, kits, boots, & ball. Look at the brutality in the tackles & challenges tell me you would survive when you would leave in a stretcher or body bag. If you actually took the time to research you would know that Mezza was fully capable of scoring bicycle kicks even under these conditions & often would fight for the ball in the air using his acrobatic athleticism in fact an eye witness testimony claimed he was able to do a backwards bicycle move over a defender catching the ball on his foot. It was published in the newspaper that a goalkeeper challenged Meazza with a bet that he wouldn't be scoring any bicycle kicks on him & that very game Meazza scored bicycle kick on him via corner kick & the keeper rushed out of his box to congratulate Meazza. Bottom line world class athletes are dominant athletes no matter the era in which they dominated & I would argue they even had a better warrior mindset on the pitch than they do now due to rule changes. So you go ahead & live foolishly believing that Meazza despite being the intelligent dominant athlete he was in the world stage having won back to back world cups still holding a world cup finals record of 2 assists which is tied for 2nd place behind only Pele who has more at 3 assists in world cup finals & how Meazza wouldn't be able to adapt to modern concepts had he been born today with lighter fancier equipment, technology, sports medicine, perfect pitches, fancy facilities at your disposal, round the clock trainers & nutritionists plus higher pay omg Meazza would feel pampered in this era. LOL
