  • Installing the Rally Raid Stage 1 fork kit on a 2023 Honda CRF300L Rally. I had ordered the kit with a 43mm seal driver. Unfortuanetly there was a mix up in shipping and I was sent out a 48mm driver. After contacting Rally Raid, they admitted that there was a mix up and apologized for it. They have since sent out a 43mm replacement. Rally Raid's customer service is top nothch and they stand behind their products. If you're looking to upgrade your suspension, I can strongly recommend Rally Raid!

Hmmm I spent the day at a local dealer going through the options in my budget. This rally has been on my want list for awhile. My fear with it though is that it’s going to be a less than stellar ridding experience because of the suspension. The rear I could handle swapping myself, I don’t see me being able to handle the front for a few reasons one being a neuromuscular disease that really destroys the dexterity in my hands. Another factor is turning a brand new $6400 bike without dealer fees into an $8000 bike because it needs $1500.00 worth of suspension before installation plus what ever other necessary mods are required ( you are right the seat 100% sucks.) I’m thinking at this point it’s probably just worth buying a different bike all together that’s properly set up from the factory. I might just have to give up the off road aspect and go full street. After three years of massive complaints you would think Honda would put a slightly better suspension in, but I guess when they sell faster then they are made and people will just drop another $1500.00 then why would they fix it?

Thanks for the video! I think yah did pretty good considering your typical suspension specialist has hundreds if not thousands of hours of experience that gains them the proficiency and expertise needed to make these mods look easy. I'm not sure if I will upgrade my suspension on my new Rally (I weigh 170 lbs.) but if I do I will be paying a shop to do it partly because I don't like working on my bike and partly because I'm ill equipped with tools.

  • @advbull

    Nice setup

I knew they were soft but wow that’s awful. I know if I get one I will be doing the same thing you are.
