Before i read my Bible I pray to the Holy Spirit 🕊️🕊️🕊️ for revelation on each verse/scripture and whenever I read He speaks to me as I'm reading. Also if I don't read my Bible for more than two days I start to feel dry and of course the Holy spirit 🕊️🕊️🕊️ always reminds me to read it, especially when I'm on RUclips too long. I drive a LOT and my sister just invited me to partner with her and her family in a read the Bible in a year program using the Bible in audio format. I’ve read the Bible through once before years ago. It took a couple of years as my approach was a chapter a day. Since then I’ve hardly bothered to read it at all. I’m glad to start again. I hope I stick with it. Thank you for your ministry.
I used to be that way too. But it's different now.....I started praying Ephesians 1 17.... and the church group I belong to have a pastor who has a teaching gifting. And the advice he gave is... always have a note by your side while you read or study your Bible....you write what you think you understand. As times goes on, if you continue you will notice the change... and understanding will come.
An amazing tool that helps me reaffirm key points after reading each chapter is the Bible Project YT channel. They give a light summary of each chapter but it is incredibly helpful if you’ve actually read each chapter yourself in full. God bless you Pastor Vlad 🙏🙏
Some days I will be watching tv and decide to listen to the scriptures and read along. Some days I flip through RUclips to find scriptures being read while I am doing home cleaning. Then there are days that I don’t do anything but watch regular tv or watch RUclips videos of different things other than reading or listening to the Bible. I thought it was just my way of taking a break from listening to the Bible or reading the Bible. I didn’t think I was doing anything wrong. Sometimes you just need to be hit with the truth. Heavenly Father, bless me this New Year, only you know the burdens I face. As a single mom I’m struggling to make ends meet. Lord give me strength to get through each day. Both of my sons are autistic and require much from me. It’s difficult to raise children alone. BUT I keep faith Lord Jesus. Even as I struggle to pay rent and as I struggle to buy groceries for my children. I’m so ashamed. Jesus deliver me from my anxieties, and my troubles. Heal me from my lupus and heart disease. I have terrible ADHD, always have. It helps to listen and read at the same time. But I frequently get stuck on things I just don’t understand and I can’t move on at times. I’ve been writing these things down to ask my Bible study teacher at a later time. But there are some details that I’ve come across that have stumped my leader and pastor.

I'm in my late 50s and the reason is because I saw from a young age how corrupt religion is and it's so much worse today because they dont even try to hide it. I'm struggling big time reading the bible. I dont know the characters, cant pronounce names and places, but the hardest part is understanding what it REALLY means. The hidden messages/truths are stopping me from picking it up because I have NO CLUE how to interpret it. There are few churches left in my area and they're corrupt with rainbow flags and narcissism. I live in a small country in a small town with minimal resources. Bible study groups are impossible to find, especially for people my age and finding Christian people in my town is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Reading the Bible is the hardest book I've ever seen and what's worse is hearing people say, oh just fake it. It will take YEARS to read it 1 time and I'll be lucky to understand or remember 10%. I am totally alone and have no one and no place to go to discuss or share the scripture. I dont even know how to pray properly and I'm terrified of disrespecting the Lord Jesus Christ in some way. I just sob for hours because I want to have a relationship with him so much. And finally, there are so many versions of the Bible how can someone like me know what is the right one, and true to scripture. Even finding a 2nd hand bible took hours of trawling 2nd hand shops. I thought it would be easy to find one but it's the opposite. This is why I watch channels like this instead of reading the Bible which is sad 🙏❤
Good points Vlad. The Hebrews 4:12 says that the Word of God is living and powerful. And it's so because it's given by the Holy Spirit. So I have noticed that the Holy Spirit helps us a lot by the written Word. Praying in the Spirit in reading opens the Word. But there are times when we have to be resistant and patient in reading the Bible. The Word of God itself gives us the strength to live pure life. And therefore reading the Bible has to be a daily habit😊

I need to read the words over and over and get it inside of me yet I learn and grow, Then I need to come back to get it correctly in my spirit. We have to run the race until we are called home.
As a Christian of almost 40 years I still can't get much out of reading the bible. I have never understood what I am supposed to get out of it so this is helpful. I do daily devotions but I just don't get the deep revelations I am supposed to get. I am not a reader of books anyway as my concentration is poor. I have tried and tried and tried but never seem to breakthrough. My mind is thinking of too many things. I have fallen asleep to scripture and will do so more as I have woken up feeling much better.

There's nothing too hard for our God, the Bible tells of a blind beggar who insisted that Jesus heal his eyes, he persisted and the Bible says that Jesus told him "your faith has made you whole"(Luke 18:35-42). God is the same yesterday today and forever, if you call out to him he will save you, He will help you overcome the lack of concentration and a dull mind. Look up to Him and He will help you.

If we say that we have NO sin, we are DECEIVING ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us. I agree with the word from John 3. He is clear about abiding in Him. Something I’m starting to do is write down some scriptures that relate to a specific topic. Right now, I’m doing scriptures that talk about God’s character. It helps me take out the distraction and stay focused.
I love this video. Your videos raise the bar and motivate me to keep growing. Kinda like having a spiritual personal trainer. I do Bible Study Fellowship, which is an in depth study. Our family reads aloud the One Year Bible after dinner. I find having a plan to follow helps me a lot.
I could not get enough of God's word and diligently read, studied, meditated, and committed verses to memory as best I could. I began with the purpose of not just reading the entire Bible, but searching for a deeper understanding of God and Jesus and to develop a more intimate closer relationship with my creator. Somehow after months and months I began to get a little overwhelmed ....maybe a little impatient, and downright frustrated at some things I couldn't seem to grasp. With other personal goings on my Bible study became less and less and now sad to say it's probably two-three times a week. I feel strongly Satan has put issues of life as a strong distraction in an effort to keep me from being the woman God wants me to be. I'm worried that my heart is getting hardened because I'm having a hard hard time of forgiving loved ones who have hurt me deeply over many years and not forgiving myself for hurting others as well. I can't stop beating myself up and Satan will not ever let me forget. I believe this is a demonic attack. Will my Christian brothers and sisters please keep me in your prayers that I may overcome this and put me back on the right path.

Pray Ephesians 1 17 before reading your Bible. Do it consistently and see change come. The entrance of God's word brings light....but it's as you persevere that understand comes.

You need to take time to read your bible especially if you are a Christian because it's your source of spiritual food. If you find that you are still struggling, I can pray with you. I also had to do some practical steps. Had the KJV and I just couldn't get it which ofcourse left me with no desire to read the Word of God. So I downloaded the NLT version and now I enjoy reading the Word of God.

Pray against ADHD do not proclaim that sis! Do not put that over your life you are a new CREATION IN JESUS NAME
You can be delivered from ADHD. It is not the spirit God has given you.

If we CONFESS our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to CLEANSE US FROM ALL unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.
I agree with the word from John 3. He is clear about abiding in Him. We abide and we LIVE or practice the word, so that we are building our foundation on the ROCK. There's always so much wonderful, encouraging life to read and receive from the Word of God. Blessings on your new year!

Things that helped me understand and yearn the Bible more:
Bible studies- discussing a topic/chapters of the Bible with other Christians or a a pastor
Note taking- jot down/highlight key parts that stuck out to you
Christian RUclipsrs- exposing myself to more Christian content helps me to stay focused on the Bible, God and Christianity

Before I start reading I will ask the Holy Spirit to give me understanding and revelation from above when I'm reading the Bible because I want to know what the Lord want to say. There are times feel like been corrected, rebuked, and encouraged. I know the Bible speaks because it's a Living Word with power to transform those who seek Him. Glory to God!

Something I’m starting to do is write down some scriptures that relate to a specific topic. Right now, I’m doing scriptures that talk about God’s character. It helps me take out the distraction and stay focused.

I could not get enough of God's word and diligently read, studied, meditated, and committed verses to memory as best I could.
I began with the purpose of not just reading the entire Bible, but searching for a deeper understanding of God and Jesus and to develop a more intimate closer relationship with my creator. Somehow after months and months I began to get a little overwhelmed ....maybe a little impatient, and downright frustrated at some things I couldn't seem to grasp. With other personal goings on my Bible study became less and less and now sad to say it's probably two-three times a week. I feel strongly Satan has put issues of life as a strong distraction in an effort to keep me from being the woman God wants me to be. I'm worried that my heart is getting hardened because I'm having a hard hard time of forgiving loved ones who have hurt me deeply over many years and not forgiving myself for hurting others as well. I can't stop beating myself up and Satan will not ever let me forget. I believe this is a demonic attack. Will my Christian brothers and sisters please keep me in your prayers that I may overcome this and put me back on the right path.

I listen to gospel music while reading the Bible it's truly nice and then I tell the holyspirit wht I learnt. But today I didn't feel like reading as much so I came to watch this it helped me my body was ichy and I tried forcing my self to read but now I know wht to do. I get sleepy and/or distracted often. It is like that with any book thou, not just the bible. I often question if it is a spirit.
You need to take time to read your bible especially if you are a Christian because it's your source of spiritual food. If you find that you are still struggling, I can pray with you.
I pray for kerra today and I ask for eyes to see, ears to hears and a heart to understand. I ask for alertness of mind and strength in her body to receive God's word. Amen.

I also had to do some practical steps. Had the KJV and I just couldn't get it which ofcourse left me with no desire to read the Word of God. So I downloaded the NLT version and now I enjoy reading the Word of God.
