    Man....I'm sure I've ranted and raved enough about how awesome you are for your impact on the new amp builder community. And the amp building community in general. But man....these last couple videos ??? The 27 MHz kits are just phenomenal and so very well explained. And them to go as far as to make an entire video showing assembly and explaining proper tuning and low pass filter and ...just man what a great job. ....and no question about it.....when I buy a kit. There is absolutely NO question about it.....I will he buying one of yours. Theres just no kit that comes close to yours as far as being well put together and complete woth everything you need.....and even an instructional walk though assembly video? Man....your unmatched sharky.. your quality and your commitment is in a leaugh on its own. Truly.impressed my friend and im stoked to know now which kit im gonna start my ldmos adventure with. And this one is a no-brainer . And Any newb should be doing the same. What better way to start into a hobby with $200+ devices then with a kit this well.detailed and with that much support. I hope your ready to sell some kits. Cause I'm quite sure there's gonna be a surge of people throwing money at you. And they should be.

    This has to be the best amplifier build video I have ever watched. The little details shown are what really matters. I would buy this kit in a heartbeat if you had one for 50 MHz. I'm sure it would be easy to modify to work there, I'm just not at that skill level yet.

      Exactly what I’m thinking too a broadband one. The device is good from about 0 to 400 MHz why not HF through 2 m? To put on multi band 160m - 2m 2 kW low pass?! Right! 🤤 😊

    Sharky, another tool other than the VNA that’s mentioned and used to tune the low pass and other things, can be a spectrum analyzer with a tracking generator. Some are built in and others are not and you’d use two pieces of equipment. Though the VNA can be had for much less cost than the other too. I’m not sure how accurate they are? I use an HP8924C or an HP8591E with the tracking generator option installed. I’d love to see a broadband option for us hams that love cb too and love it all! Thanks!

      I have not seen very much about LDMOS from Mr. BBI.
      Maybe he thinks they are too expensive.
      Most of his new builds use bipolar transistors.
      It could be because LDMOS are harder to use for mobile amplifiers as they need more supply voltage.

  • @michaelhamilton3778
    @michaelhamilton3778 Год назад

    Would it be more feasible to use that particular pallet but instead of having pump liquid into the block. Use dielectric immersion liquid instead and immerse the entire pallet. And then just equip a condenser at the top that would condense the liquid back in to whatever container was housing the pallet. Something similar to PC gaming computers that use liquid cooling (dielectric fluid) or similar to bit-mining racks that are now being immersed in dielectric fluid for cooling. They say it works the best. Thoughts?

      Yea im with@Transmitters 'R' Us on this one.....and ill go further and add that its literally not what you said....like legit by definition its a kit not an experiment. Sharky has Done the experiment end of things. It was an experiment when he started. Like a year ago or so. Now its a tried n true science. I have loads of respect for his work in the transistor game. He could've done like everyone else and moved on to tubes. But instead he took the challenge and pretty much mastered the technology that so many of us are intimidated by. "Guilty" and I tip my hat to this fella. And he has definitely inspired me to save some money and get myself a kit. I'm gonna get the kit so that I can play with the kit and get familiar with the values and I am gonna solder the fet myself. So that I can assemble everything but minus the fet so that I can hook my vna up to it and play with the pallet and get a better understanding of the tuning and what not. Reverse engineer if you will. One of the perks of spending money on the kit. And honestly the kit is very reasonably priced so you can't go wrong.

    Don't be testing your radios out on channel 19. Use channel 20 like everybody else does. I know you got slugs in and you don't think it transmits that far. But it does and US truck drivers are starting to get a little bit annoyed. Especially when we're in snowstorms and we're trying to give out weather information and road conditions to other drivers and we're getting walked over by everybody else transmitting on channel 19 because they think they're so cool because they have big radios. I love the radio game, and I love everybody that is into The hobby. But you guys really need to start showing some more respect to the truck drivers that are out there trying to use the CV for safety purposes. You guys are walking all over us all the time and it's starting to get annoying. I'm getting ready to start taking down DX numbers the reporting them to the FCC. Sorry for the rant. The reason I'm getting irritated. Is because the reason everybody stopped using their CVS in the first place was because you guys on channel 19 acting like fools. Are you guys testing your radios out on channel 19 and skipping across the country on channel 19 with your big huge radios over keying every semi truck driver out there that's got a radio. Most drivers took their radios out of their trucks because of you guys. Now due to a few pileups over the last couple years the new drivers are starting to put radios in their trucks. But now they're starting to regret it and they leave the radios turned off because you guys won't leave channel 19 alone. If you want new people to get in the hobby you got to leave channel 19 alone. Then the new truck drivers that got new radios when they're exploring other channels at the end of the day they'll be like how is that guy getting out so far. Then they'll start to explore the hobby more. But at the end of the day if they're all pissed off about the stupid shit that's being put out on channel 19 all day. They won't explore the other channels or be excited to get into the hobby. Please pass the word and stop doing stupid shit on channel 19. Keep channel 19 professional. And channel 20 is the channel you use for testing your darn radios. And trust me I know the FCC isn't going around and hunting people down. But they start looking if they get complaints. Again sorry for the rant.

    • @gordonwelcher9598
      @gordonwelcher9598 Год назад

      Why don't you use channel 14, it is only used by kids with low power walkie talkies.
      It's not like you have to buy a new set of crystals, sets are synthesized now and can be used on all 40 channels out of the box.
      Channel 19 is a great channel for testing, there is always someone there to respond.
      People will continue to use it, you can not make them switch to channel 20.
      A certain group of people can not take over a channel.
      Use a more reliable type of communications if it is so important for safety.
      With CB you are at the mercy of skip conditions and interference. pay the money and get something that works.
